Reviews for Hurricane Cove Marina and Boatyard
GREAT SERVICE!, 2015-07-31
Captain: , Miami (110)

This marina has changed more than any on the river.
They have new management and I can't say enough about how professional and organized the new team is.
They were friendly, professional, courteous, etc.
Great place, great facilities, great location.
Highly recommend them and will take my boat back to this place when I have to hawl it out.

NEW MANAGEMENT, 2014-09-09
Captain: , Newport RI (35)

I had reservations about using this boatyard after reading other reviews on ActiveCaptain. But I was extremely happy to find out that the yard is under new management and has gotten rid of the marginal employees. It is now as professional and courteous as any boatyard I have used in my last 50 years of sailing.

My boat was moved off a transport truck and gently placed on stands. The spars and rigging was placed next to the boat in the yard to allow me to make some much needed changes. The manager, John Michael Cornell was very responsive to every phone call and e-mail. I believe Miami now has a great do-it-yourself boatyard. Give it a try.

Not again too much attitude - no help, 2013-02-17
Captain: , Lake Travis Texas (85)

They have a travel lift and an abundance of attitude. The second star is because I did get the boat into the water from the truck.
Staff is not helpful at all, does not volunteer information and your on their time table. Most of the phone numbers they gave me for the bridges down stream were disconnected. The marina is old and tired and it's in a pretty dodgy neighborhood.
I'm not going back.

DIY Boat Yard, 2008-12-19
Captain: , Key Biscayne FL (3049)

This is the local DIY boat yard. There are a number of contractors that are on and off site to assist in work. Yard has minimal services and a attitude you would expect inthe big city. Marina itself is pretty rickety but does have a large permanent fleet. This is the best hurricane hole inthe area. During storms they raft boats solid - significant charge for hurricane protection
