Yes - The plan for 2017 is that there should be a grocery store very close to the marina. In addition, the farmer's market is open daily in downtown Ottawa (walking distance) and a bit farther than this there are two large grocery stores on Rideau Street. There is a small grocery store on Eddy street and some canned goods available at the Giant Tiger across the street from that, both about a 20 minute walk from the marina.

Yes - In downtown Ottawa (walking distance) there is a very basic Home Hardware. Other stores such as Canadian tire would require a taxi or bus ride.

Yes - There is a McDonald's a few minutes walk from the marina, and the Museum of History has a cafeteria. Laval Street is a great street filled with only resto-bars with patios and mostly closed to traffic. The ByWard Market in Downtown Ottawa is also excellent for many types of restaurants, including ethnic food, bars, along with shopping. The Rideau Centre is a large shopping centre with a sizeable food court.

Yes - Eddy Street (Rue Eddy) in Gatineau and the ByWard Market in Ottawa are great places to start.

Hotels or motels

Yes - There is a Best Western directly across the street from the marina. There is also a FourPoints Sheraton at 25 Laurier Street in front of the Museum of History.

Repair capabilities

No - There is nothing close but there are service trucks, mechanics, and other repair people (such as for canvas and zippers, fridge repair, etc.) thyat the marina can suggest.

Haul out capabilities

No - There is a free public ramp right beside the marina. As with repairs, they are likely to know someone who can help you out with a hydraulic trailer.

Fishing supplies

Chartering capabilities

Internet access

Yes - WiFi was installed in 2016.
Being downtown, there is good cellular service of all the companies that service the area.

Boat ramp availability

Yes - Free and public. But if you need to park in the municpal parking lot, there is a fee.

Yes - You can probably get to what you need on foot, but if you need buses, you can use your transfer between the Gatineau and Ottawa bus systems. The Ottawa bus #8 can be caught on Laurier Street in front of the marina and goes to downtown Gatineau and Ottawa, as well as the War Museum. It's not a direct route but it works well if you prefer not to walk. The marina can also provide the phone numbers of several taxi companies.

Other services

WTheye have a large covered area right on the docks with BBQs, a kitchen, and ample seating. Security and docking assistance available 24 hours. Tourist information (La Maison du Tourisme) is across the street and there is a bicycle rental station on the same corner. Municipal parking.

Parliament buildings are within walking distance to visit during the day, and a sound and light show on the hill on the buildings every evening during the summer. ByWard market for walking around, eating and shopping, with the ByTowne old-style movie theater. Museums such as the museum of history right beside the marina, the National Art Gallery which is a ten minute walk across the bridge, the Museum of Nature which is great for kids and adults, the War Museum which is accessible by bus and new in 2017 by taxi boat. There are many festivals throughout the summer, including music festivals, Canada Day, a hot air balloon festival, the Lac Leamy international fireworks competition, and Mosaicultures from July 1 to October 15 2017, which is an exposition of incredible living plant sculptures.
Housed at Hull Marina is Canada's oldest naval vessel still in operation - the Pogo. You can ask if someone is available to bring you onboard and tell you her story.

Stayed one night after leaving the wall in Ottawa. Good stop for water and laundry. Pretty location across river, nice staff, restrooms and a security gate. short walk or bike accross bridge that has very generous dedicated walking and biking lane/boardwalk.

Facilities are clean and nice. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Port book says largest boat they can take is 40FT, but it should be 40Meters. Info in Active Captain is correct.

6-28-16 We stayed here because of lock closure caused by North American Sumit. Took water taxi to Ottawa $5 each way. New washer and dryer $2.50 each wash and dry, they provide detergent. Clean restroom and showers.

no internet, 2015-06-14

ok stop, nothing great for the money. slips are not protected from passing boat wakes so during the day it is rocky, it did calm down at night. showers clean. the biggest drawback for traveling boaters is that there is no internet. mcdonalds is 3 blocks away.

great location, great staff, 2014-09-08

Could not ask for a better spot right across the river from Ottawa with spectacular views of Parliament Hill. Located on a park in Gatineau near some decent restaurants and the spectacular Museum of Civilization. Staff was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. They even moved a boat so as to give us a slip that would fit us. Awesome service!! Good power and city water, pump out available.

Great stop to prepare for the 8 locks to Ottawa, 2013-08-13
Captain: , Venice, Fl. (949)

Friendly staff. Got a pump out at 8AM before heading over to the blue line for the 8 locks. Restrooms nice, except the women had to use the men's shower as the women's was being repaired. $2.42 a foot which included tax and electricity.

Excellent views, 2012-02-25
