Reviews for Hotel Kenney
Nice dock and hotel, 2016-07-21
Captain: , Rochester, New York (203)

Sept 11, 2015 --The docking at Hotel Kenney was easy with power and water readily available. They take reservations but were not crowded when we were there. The Jones Falls lock area is great for a nice walk and a good way to explore how the locks work. We had a nice dinner at the hotel on Friday night and brunch on Sunday. The staff was attentive and the food good and reasonably priced. However we went up for dinner on Sun night (we stayed 3 days due to rain) and they had shut down at 6 because there were no customers. Be sure to let them know if you plan to eat dinner there. Nice laundry facilities. Also the rooms look nice, so we would consider bringing guests on a trip up the canal from Kingston and having them stay there.
May 2016- another nice visit. Food and facilities very nice

Great for docking or meal, 2015-07-11

Didn't tie up there bit very nice well-kept old hotel with pretty pretty good docks with power (reservation required I think). Took dinghy from Davis Lock for a great lunch. Nice walk and sightsee around lock (4 chambers).

Great dinner at the restaurant, 2013-07-24
Captain: , Rochester NY (310)

We made a reservation for a dock and dinner at the Hotel Kenney and we weren't dissapointed. The dock hand was waiting for our arrival and rearranged boats on the wall to give us and another 40' room to tie up. The dinner was a fixed $30 for a 4 course meal that was fantastic. We decided to spend another night.

Great place to linger a while., 2012-09-16

Hotel Kenney%u2019s staff are friendly and helpful. Our evening meal at the restaurant was very good. We really enjoyed our walk taking in the sights around Jones Falls locks.

Must See stop, 2012-08-21
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (445)

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Kenney. twin 30 amps are available and of course water. Plenty of depth at the wall and the best part is they take reservations. Heads are dated but clean. Nice meal at the Hotel. Choice of three main courses. Pris fixe, $30 for 4 courses, the curry chciken was excellent. Nice ice cream shop as well. The hotel is lovely inside. Explore the falls with a loop tour about a mile and worth it but bring the OFF.

Comfortable dock with lots to explore nearby, 2012-07-19

Our only stop at the hotel was the ice cream shop, but it was excellent. Nice docks with power. Modest bathrooms. Convenient location to explore Jones Falls and the spectacular dam.

Food is terrible, 2011-07-22
Captain: , Calgary, Alberta, Canada (854)

Don't order the pickerel! It was uncooked the first time and had the consitency of rubber after it was sent back to the kitchen. The soup was tepid and watery. The potatoes were tasteless. All in all a great disappointment.

Comfortable Marina, 2011-07-11

June 2011 $1.5. Easy dockage and can see lock from dock so, if make arrangements with lockmaster the night before can stay tied up at dock and not worry about "blue Line" for the morning lock through. Resturant a bit pricey but food good. (However if they have ginny chickken on the menu would consider ordering something else. 3 of our party of 9 ordered it and all considered sending it back!! Other things on menu very good.

Delicious Lunch Stop, 2011-07-02
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (4015)

We tied to their dock, hiked the Jones Falls Lock Park, and enjoyed a great lunch in the dining room. The hotel is quaint and interesting, the dining room complete with linen, and the menu interesting, different, and delicious.

Peacefull Passage, 2010-07-02

Providing a wall with a new dock this year plus 30A/30A service.
Great restaurant, right out of the 50's. Restrooms/showers were clean but small. Laundry available.
