Reviews for Hontoon Landing Resort and Marina
The best of both worlds, 2016-02-29

We had stayed in this area a few years back at the Hontoon Island State Park and really loved the area. So this year we rented a slip for a month at Hontoon landing resort & Marina. We love it! We feel the rates are well within line for the amenities. Good electric 50 & 30 at the slip, city water, wifi, full length finger pier one side, pool, well stocked store (less fresh food). The real winner for us are the ultra clean rooms for our visiting family/guests. Lots to do and see here if you like nature. A car would be necessary for a long term stay. the staff is A-1. We are here mid February 2016.

My spot to rent a pontoon boat, 2013-08-28

The place to start if you just want to piddle on the river. Nice shop great prices particularly in earl spring for all day rental of 24' pontoon.

Grouchy people only interested in renting pontoon boats.
Highest gas price we saw on the river: $4.89

Nice Place, but you may need to negotiate, 2011-11-30

After having read earlier posts regarding excessive transient dockage prices, we were tempted to pass this place on by. A phone call with a friend was able to arrange a stay for our 25-foot boat for $25/night plus tax including 30-amp electricity. I'm not sure what the "official' rate is, but suggest calling for a quote and using $1/foot as your baseline. Once in the marina, it is very nice. Bathrooms and showers are relatively clean. Nice pool, docks and a beautiful setting looking across to the State Park. The store has basic groceries and ships supplies. There is no restaurant within walking distance. There is a small pool and charcoal grills are available for cooking. There is also a small boat ramp.

too pricey II, 2011-11-12

Ditto. Called for a Sunday night for a 46' and got the $150 per night quote. They felt that was reasonable since that includes pool and barbecue. Told them that was too pricey for me and they very nicely suggested the state park option.

Too Pricey, 2011-05-05
Captain: , St Johns, FL (160)

Just called to make arrangements for a 34' trawler. I was told the price is $100 per night for weeknights, $150 per night on weekends. Sorry folks, too pricey for me. I'll stay across the river and support my taxpayer-funded state park marina!

Great Place, 2008-03-11

This is a really nice small marina for vessels 40' or less. It has nice aluminum floating docks with 30 amp electric and water. It's very reasonable at $16 per night or $8 if you are disabled or retired. Has a small store with ice and nice showers. They don;t take reservations so it first come first served. There's fuel at the marina across the river. Lots of wild life.

Great place directly across Hontoon Island State Park, 2008-01-24
Captain: , Sanford, FL (4)

This a great marina with an excellent location. They have covered slips, and hotel rooms where you can spend the night. The facility is clean and the people are friendly. It is directly across Hontoon Island State Park, which should make your primitive stay in the park a little more tolerable. I would have given it 5 stars but they do not have a restaurant or even a snack bar. They have a small store where you can pick up supplies and food items, but the food selection is minimal.
