Reviews for Homfray Lodge
Nice, wilderness experience, 2013-09-27
Captain: , Bozeman, MT (740)

We came late in the season and had the luxury of being the only ones on the dock. Scenery is absolutely spectacular and since Homfray channel is not much used, it was extremely peaceful and serene. A really nice stop between Prideaux and the inlets.

Wilderness!, 2013-09-18

The only reason to transit the Homfray Channel is to go to the Lodge. It's unfinished, there's no store, no food, no electricty but it's a great little stop. There's no wake because few boats are in the Homfray and if you have a sat phone, due to the mountains surrounding the lodge, it won't work either! Accomodating owners and a great night under the stars.

New Desolation Sound Marina, 2012-08-04

They have a very large/comfortable dock ($1/ft), excellent water, good shower ($4[the norm in these parts]) and a large elevated decks with BBQ for dock patrons. No electric to the dock yet, but maybe next year if/when they get their hydroelectric system operational. The three brothers (owners) have a ton of work ahead of them, but the property was acquired from "the bank" and in my estimation is about 85% completed (all the heavy lifting, foundations, shore works, dock, water system & approved septic system are finished. The bulk of what seems to be needed seems to be finishing work. When finished we suspect it will be a 'jewel in Desolation Sound's crown
