Additional info:

Approach

After rounding #3 buoy, favor the right side (where the piers and marinas are), until Whitemarsh Creek bends to the right and Bear Neck Creek continues ahead. Turn with Bear Neck Creek and stay in the middle. A shoal extends past the point with a little lighthouse as the creek widens up, so give that some room before turning to the marina.

Reviews for Holiday Hill Marina
"A Sailboat Marina", 2013-01-04
Captain: , Chesapeake, VA (253)

A quiet, off the beaten path marina, mostly sailboats. Water, power, heads, showers. Owner lives in a house on-property, and keeps his boat here as well. Friendly people around the docks, including several livaboards. Not much within walking distance; a small store, a german restaurant, and tiny post office. Transient slips are available early in the season, but the place fills up pretty quickly as the season gets going. What the place lacks in amenities it makes up for with a stunning view, peaceful environment, friendly faces and the most amazing owner anywhere.

Trailer Sailor Friendly, 2012-05-22
Captain: , Smith Mountain Lake, VA (266)

Holiday Hill is a great place for trailer sailors to put their boats in the water. The owner is very accommodating, the ramp is good, and it is a safe place to keep your car and trailer while cruising.

S/V Music ,August thru November stay, 2011-10-25
Captain: , Los Angeles (40)

A low-key marina, very friendly locals, aprox 25 liveaboards at this time. Dock gatherings in the summer. Our 6ft draft was problem only at low water(silt). Wifi good, Loasl people help out with your shopping , small store a short walk(1/2 mi). Lacking in facilities, slightly, but big T.V and lounge comfortable.
