Reviews for Historic Port of Penetanguishene
Convenient comfortable stop, 2016-08-23
Captain: , Newcastle upon Tyne (463)

Stayed here for 2 nights, enjoyed the quality food at Le Maitre. Essential to be inside the outer dock for wake and wave shelter. Downside is lack of water or pumpout at the docks, but there are other places nearby. Dockmaster Mike very capable and obliging. A bit of a walk up the hill to Foodland.

Squeakiest docks ever, 2015-08-01
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1659)

Floating docks are solid, but squeak horribly whenever anyone walks upon them or a passing boat throws a wake. There is no wifi. The town is pleasant, but groceries are a hike. The two very basic shower rooms had a line in the morning.

Great town stop, 2015-05-05
Captain: , Penetanguishene, ON (162)

Blocks to all the services a boater needs, nice new docks, inexpensive. Right in town with a great water front park including trails and a leash free dog park. Restaurants, pubs, beer store, grocery, laundry and LCBO just blocks away. Historic sights and museums, some with walking/biking distance or a short cab ride away. Tourist information centre onsite.

Well maintained, easy-going town dock, 2013-06-17
Captain: , Toronto (592)

Can handle a few larger boats in transient situation. You can tie up for up to 4 hours if you don't want to spend the night. Dockage for the night inlcudes power and showers but no water. Water can be obtained by taking the boat around to the Harbour Master Hut side of the piers if space is available. Easy access to all downtown stores
