Reviews for Heritage Plantation Marina
very good overnight stop, 2017-06-12
Captain: , Falmouth, Maine (176)

Jay the dockmaster was very helpful. Nice quiet night with a few fast boats going past in the afternoon.
Np services but the bathrooms are clean and the dock is first class.
Great for an overnight stop.

What great service!, 2017-05-22
Captain: , Chesapeake, VA (20)

We are heading north and, for one reason or another, couldn't get a pump out. We contacted Heritage Plantation Marina as we drew near. Jay hooked us right up. He identified himself as the new Dockmaster and is a super friendly guy. Excellent service and highly recommended whether you're traveling north or south.

What a gem of a marina!, 2017-02-15
Captain: , Fair Haven, NY (100)

Just a great little spot when we stayed on 2/12/17. Even though we did not meet Jay, he answered our call and told us where to dock our boat. This place is such a little paradise with it's surroundings and beautiful decks. Once we were settled, we packed a little cooler and went and sat on the deck in the sunshine and decompressed from a 9 hour day. The clubhouse is wonderful and the restrooms and showers are awesome and clean. Even though we didn't need to do laundry, there is a new stackable there to use. Spoke with Jay the next day to settle up and he is just a great guy. We will stay again when we go through again.

Good Stop and beautiful surroundings, 2016-09-05
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

There is nothing here, but this is a cheaper alternative to other places if all you need is a clean, safe, quite stop. Of course if you are a golfer, then ask to play. The dock master Jay is excellent. here. $1.25 with BoatUS. A near perfect stop for easy in/out. Stayed here again 9/4/16 and it is still a great stop. During busy holiday weekends frm small boats, so the wakes are not horrible. there is some rocking from passing boats, but inside it is fine, and the boats are generally small ones. outside is fine as well Beautiful setting and bike ride around. Golf, pool, etc can be easily arranged. Dink ride up the Jericho creek is fun.

Heritage Marine, 2016-08-19
Captain: , Cincinnati (10)

Arrived in May 2016 to deep water Heritage Marina. Met the newly hired dock master named Jay. Our conversation was pleasant and he seemed energetic and eager to make improvements to Marina. We came back on the July 4th weekend and noticed that indeed improvements were being made. They have clean restrooms and a beautiful Captain's Lounge which has a T.V., a table and seating. There is a very large covered deck and residents come from the gated community to watch the beautiful sunsets quite often. Especially nice is the Dock Master's office is in the same room. So if you need him you can find him. Jay is a very well mannered, polite and boater friendly fellow. The entrance by car is from a gated community which I believe is a plus. Unfortunately there is no fuel dock but they do offer free pump out services. We have enjoyed our stay and plan to return on our 44' Sailing Vessel to visit again.

Excellent Stop, 2016-07-07
Captain: , Beaufort, SC (245)

We spent the night here July 6, 2016. Jay the Dockmaster was very helpful guiding us in and helping with the lines. We were just going to visit a friend who lives here but decided to stay the night. Very reasonable rates, solid dock and free pump-out and great Wi-Fi. you can watch movies all day if you want while you take advantage of the free laundry. New stackable washer and dryer to use. No restaurants or shopping nearby and no courtesy car. There are two very nice public golf courses nearby if that's your thing, and they both have restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Dockmaster Jay is great!, 2016-07-06
Captain: , Anacortes, WA (20)

Jay is excellent! Answered phone call for reservation immediately and when we arrived, he was there to help in anyway possible. Wakes from other boats not good (holiday weekend), but otherwise everything we needed. Docks/facilities great. Good for dogs.

Nice Place!, 2016-06-17
Captain: , Excelsior, Mn (20)

Pros: Jay the dockmaster is very accommodating. The facilities are very nice, docks....great, bathrooms and showers.....great, there is a really nice covered deck and grills for a party.
Cons: remote no transportation unless you rent a car, but there is an enterprize nearby, with a south wind the outside dock is a bit rolly, but not serious. If you're looking for pease and quiet this place is great!

NORDO Marina, 2016-04-20
Captain: , Washington, DC (840)

Tried several time to reach by phone and left two messages. Upon approaching I tried by radio and again no answer. Ended up anchoring behind Butler Island and had a great night. The one star is mostly based on my bias against marinas that are not communicative.

Friendly and relaxing, 2014-10-12
Captain: , Deltaville VA (121)

A convenient stop right on the ICW. Excellent help getting us tied up on face dock. you will get rocked on the face dock during day (Saturday for us), so fenders, fenders, fenders! facility is small (which we like), very quiet, scenic river views. They have great deck area for grilling or sunset watching. gas grill, excellent showers, and free laundry. And, the Wifi works!!

The Crows Nest look on Southern Charm, 2014-07-12
Captain: , Daytona Beach, Florida (30)

Stopped in after the engine started running hot and was greeted by some of the friendliest people.
Heritage Plantation is a beautiful spot and the residents very accommodating. If you get a chance stop in and climb up to the crows nest, the view is truely spectacular.
Thanks for all your help Adam (dockmaster).

Highly Recommended, 2014-05-06
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (277)

This is a lovely stop on the ICW, especially if you've had history overload in Savannah, Beaufort, and Charleston. Good docks, helpful dock master, clean bathrooms, and free washer/dryer. We biked to the Food Lion a couple of miles away for provisioning.

Great stop, 2014-04-09
Captain: , Pawleys Island, SC (55)

stopped in for couple night, Beautiful Sunset views, knowledgable dockmaster, clean head, well maintatined. A bargain at the Boat US rate of $1.25 per foot. plus power

Good Stop on the ICW, 2014-01-03
Captain: , North Charleston, SC (752)

We planned to anchor behind Butler Island, but the windlass was locked up. Rather than trying to deploy and retrieve the anchor by hand, I called the closest marina and arranged for dockage.

It's a quiet place with nothing to do, no pool or tennis courts, etc., but secure, inexpensive and the dockmaster was friendly and helpful. It's directly on the ICW, no extra travel to get to it.

I was able to take the windlass apart and repair it, clean the boat, and clean myself up in the nice shower facility. We left the next morning.

Great winter storage, 2013-02-27
Captain: , Dover Point NH (36)

Sailed south from Maine in October and stopped as soon as I got below the frost line. Marina has great seasonal rates and easy access to Myrtle Beach Airport. Very concseious dockmaster who's a liveaboard at the marina. Many pluses especially if your a golfer.

Quality Marina, 2012-12-02
Captain: , Keyesport, IL (170)

Small but great marina. Well maintained. Good docks and excellent service. Plus this is a beautiful location. Bathrooms and showers are clean and comfortable. And the boats are decorated for the holidays. Nice touch.

Great stopover on the River, 2012-08-06
Captain: , Stuart, FL (167)

Our first time here was enjoyable, except for the wakes from folks on the river. There is fast current here, as in most rivers. The dockmaster was both friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed biking around the neighborhood and going to the pool. At night the river is really beautiful and the setting feels remote and quiet. Friendly residents like to come down and watch the sunset. Brand new pumpout just installed.
