The Blue Bridge that crosses the Snake River no longer opens. Greater water depth at the entrance allows easy access for boats with fixed keel. Entering marina, stay very close to end of the finger docks and away from the floating breakwater.

Reviews for Hells Canyon Resort
Goood place to start trip down Sake River, 2016-06-23
Captain: , Portland (279)

We launched at the ramp on may 19, 2016 and started downstream May 21. Staff is very hospitable and allowed us to leave truck and trailer a couple weeks.

This is primarily and RV park, and a very nice one. Berthage is either long term or for outboard fishing boats. Cruising was not something familiar to them. They did not know which slips had power (about half do) or how long the slips are (most are about 20 ft, fine for fishermen).

Be sure to ask for codes to the showers/heads. This is normally given to RV types at registration. You will need it because the public restroom is open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Restaurant at head of pier is out of business. Tomato Bros. is 10 miutes away by car and is delicious.

Going from ramp to berth shows o depth on sounder, due to heav weeds. Hold your breath.

We put in here for our trip from Lewiston to Astoria on our C Dory 25. The staff are great and there was no problem leaving our truck and trailer for two weeks. The showers and pool are very nice. The docks are older but serviceable Its a walk to restaurants but a great starting point for a downstream trip

Bad isn't a good word., 2015-10-18

This marina should be closed until they conduct renovations that are listed by other reviewers. I was in there on 10/15/15 and narrowly missed grounding my boat, 26%u201D. They have a cracked white plastic barrel indicating entrance from the barrel to the dock. I misinterpreted that to be the middle of the channel since a boat was coming out and taking the middle of what should be barely room for two boats. The water here is very silty. Clarkston! If you own this marina at least get a red and green buoy placed so out of towners won%u2019t run aground.

Very shallow, 2015-09-15
Captain: , Lewiston, ID (10)

I am very famiiar with the marina as I have a boat there.

The Corps recently had to temporarily raise the level of the river to allow landlocked sailboats to get out. Marina hasn't been dredged in a long time nor is it expected to be any time soon. So if you need more than about 4 feet, you may have problems.

The piers are wood and somewhat in need of maintenance. There are many nails sticking up that should be replaced with screws.

That being said, the non-dock part is great (it is shared with an RV park). There is a indoor pool with a hot tub. There are laundry facilities. Also a small convenience-type store. The bathrooms/showers are the best I have seen in a marina.

There is food within walking distance (or boating--just upstream is a fairly decent restaurant with a nice lagre pier).

Overnight for Hell's Canyon, 2014-05-24
Captain: , Coconut Grove, FL (589)

Pretty run down marina, gas only.
Able to accommodate our 48' power boat on outside dock in very shallow ( under 6') water.
Rate was $.75/ft.
Snake Dancer jet boats operate from here.
Draw bridge further up river, 10' clear when down, operates on very limited schedule.
