Reviews for Hastings Village Marina
Fantastic place to stay, 2016-08-09

we stayed for two nights at the end of July. It's a nice quiet place to stay. Power, water and pump out (yes.. pump out) available at the docks. Nice strong, free Wifi signal. Easy walking distance to restaurants, and stores, and LCBO (Liquor Store). Friendly, helpful staff. The docks are nice and sturdy and easy to get into. We strayed there on our return trip from Peterborough, after crossing Rice Lake. I'd recommend it, and we'll stay there again.

Great stop after a long day, 2015-07-21

Decided to stop here after reading other reviews. It lives up to it's reputation. Called ahead before locking through, the folks said to have the lockmaster call when we cleared. They were waiting for us at the dock, which was nice with the high winds we were experiencing. Good, strong internet. Great bath facilities. We were put outboard of one of the docks, which was initially bumpy, but things settled down at sunset.

Great Marina, good internet, 2015-07-12

We are sitting comfortably in Hastings Village Marina after another successful day on the TSW. We had no reservation but when we inquired about places to stay, the lock tender in lock 18 called the Marina for us. As others have written, as we exited the lock, the dock master was waiting at our slip. The docks are in great shape, the "washrooms" are great and the internet has not kicked me off once tonight allowing me to catch up on lots of backlog. The town wall in Hastings, on the north side, has no electric. The marina, on the southside, is really a very short walk across the bridge, to the main part of this small quaint town.

We spent a month at this marina in the summer and since we have completed the loop, Hastings is one of the most memorable places we stayed. The dock employees are top quality and the slip holders were like long time friends after the first weekend we were there. The town is quaint and has everthing you could want or need. The lockmaster called the marina staff and when we come out of the lock, the staff was waiting at the slip for our arrival. There is no fuel or pool but there is a small man made beach just down the road. We will definitely be back when in the area either by boat or car.

Cleanest washrooms we've seen on the trip. Dockside pump-out with good equipment. Friendly, helpful staff. Try Banjos for any meal. Not much in town but the basics.

Great Overnight Spot, 2013-06-29
Captain: , Charleston, SC (422)

Staff were readily available to help with docking...a little current but not that much to worry about. Clean restrooms and lots a grass for the pets. Walk to the main road and have dinner at Banjo's. I had the blackened catfish and Linda the Salmon....both a very good surprise!

nice stop Hastings, 2013-06-26

We stayed one night. Pricey but nice stop. If your vessel is over 32 feet ask for the t heads, only 2. Current in docking but good dockmaster. Very good restaurant next door, Banjos. Very good wifi. Not much to town but stores are handy. Clean restrooms with showers. Island hopper

Not bad at all, 2012-07-14
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (1696)

Stayed one night on the way up the TSW. The double slips seem very wide, which is nice for a change. Nice staff. Pump out at the slips, very nice feature. Hastings is nice village with the normal stuff available. Nice shoreside amenities. Too bad no laundry. Wifi wasnt too hot. Electrical is trickly, only 30amp on some docks, 50 amp on others. Nice stop.

A perfectly quiet stop in a small marina with 50 Amp power, water at each slip and even a sophisticated pump out system at each slip. Very clean place with competent staff. Walking distance to grocieries and several restaurants.

Quiet Friendly Spot, 2011-07-25
Captain: , Mystic, CT (382)

The Hastings lock operator called ahead, when we arrived, the staff was waiting on the dock, waving to let us know which slip. Most boats here are 25-35 foot range, but the marina can handle larger boats easily. Water, electric and pump out right at the slip. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. Close to town, liquor, restaurants, hardware store and grocery.

Good stop for larger boats, 2011-07-09
Captain: , Warsaw, Ky (875)

Staff are capable and knowledgeable. When we arrived they were right there to assist with docking. Pump out is at your slip or side tie.

Small town with reasonaable access to small food store and liquor store.

Would stay here again

Welcome stop after a hard day of locking up, 2010-06-30

A place for large boats on the TSW is rare. This is one such place. Long docks in adequate water with 50 amp service. Grocery store, liquor and beer stores close by.

Staff is very helpful - even left their dinners to come a help dock two large boats arriving late in strong wind and current. Facilities are well maintained and very clean.
