Reviews for Haslar Marina
Fabulous Position, 2015-05-20
Captain: , Eastney Cruising Association (70)

Large Marina 24 hour access just inside Portsmouth Harbour on the Porthand side, sheltered pleasant enviroment with unriveld access to the Solent within minutes. Hardy's resturant at the main enterance is very pleasant as is The Mary Mouse 2 which is adjucent to the visitor pontoons. Friendly Staff and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

Returned 10/05/2015 moored for the week, The Trinity Resturant is now on the Mary Mouse and is a bit more upmarket than it was less pub more resturant/dinning experience, food is much improved, also The Castle Tavern (bottom of Mumby Road) good pub grub and many beers, also revisited Hardy's which continues to not disapoint. However visited the Boat House Cafe in Gosport Marina and it was disapointing, poor food selection and indiferent service...nice enviroment could be so much more.

Helpful staff, 2014-08-15

The staff are very helpful and friendly here, which is refreshing. They will always find space for you in my experience. Facilities (toilets/ showers) are adequate but you could be some way from them. Very handy position.

Captain: , East Cowes (50)

Very large marina. Easy approach but can be busy through entrance to harbour, just stay to port out of the main channel which is reserved for large ships. Most of visitors on long pontoon behind bright green lightsip. Comfortable, good facilities/showers in lower part of lightship, restaurant and bar in upper part of lightship; fair to middling but with good views. Staff in marina excellent. Gosport a bit souless and a bit of a one horse town. Easy to access shopping at Gunwarf Quays by the ferry close by.

Good Marina, good Restaurant across the road, 2014-02-19
Captain: , Hayling Island (140)

Marina is fairly spacious and not far from mouth of Portsmouth Harbour. Usual difficulties if trying to come into harbour as the tide if pouring out. Hardy's restaurant is worth a visit, and you don't need to dress up to go! good food/drink/beer/atmosphere

Well protected and comfortable. Great views of Portsmouth harbour and historic dockyard which is just a short ferry trip away. The Mighty Mouse restaurant/bar which is built into the converted light vessel in the marina is a great place to sit and watch the busy harbour from. Entry to visiting yachts, marina berth holders and members only so nice and quiet.

Great access to the Solent but a bit souless.
