Reviews for Hartlepool Marina
Well worth the visit, 2014-10-09
Captain: , Isle of Wight (23)

Our ETA was in darkness close to low tide. The very helpful staff discussed access under those circumstances and reassured us there would be enough water close to the entrance lock. The sectored light guided us to the lock and, once through the lock, the marina is very spacious and the facilities excellent.
Within walking distance there is the Maritime Museum, centred round the frigate Trincomalee, and many bars and restaurants. The only criticism is that the nearest shop for supplies is quite some way.

Large marina, good facilities, 2014-05-25
Captain: , North Shields (300)

Large marina accessible through sea lock although with approach tide height dependant for most craft.
Once inside all facilities available close by with good water side security and experienced and friendly staff
On one side there are interesting sights to visit such as the Maritime Experience Centre with HMS Trincomalee. Other side a lot of seemingly similar bars wihich get very noisy at weekends although again interesting sights! Locals get a bit weary of cracks about monkeys (look it up on Google)
