Reviews for Harry's Marine Repair
Prettiest, family run. Highly recommended. , 2015-10-21
Captain: , Boston (10)

Prettiest corner of a lovely river, with friendly people, good showers and bathrooms, and walking distance to laundry and good restaurants. I loved coming in to this beautiful, calm river even on a very dark night after a long, difficult slog in LI Sound. Highly recommended.

Very helpfull with dock tie up. Nice clean yard. Gave us a ride to a near by market for provisions and waited while we shopped. At a $1.50 per foot This was a great stay!

Harry's is a small family owned business where friends keep their boat. We stayed for a couple of days and enjoyed their hospitality. They have a gazebo that is the nicest we've ever encountered. Gas grill, small fridge, large table and benches, plus numerous cushioned chairs. The staff and liveaboards meet at the end of every work day. Everyone from the staff to boat owners were extremely helpful offering help on any question we had. No local shopping but two restaurants within walking distance. We were fortunate to have the use of our friends car a don their advice did a day trip to Essex. What a great day. If you stop at Harry's be aware that the river is narrow but well marked and dredged. Keep an eye on the current as well as it give you push in the wrong direction if you're not expecting it.

4 star no frills marina!, 2012-06-13
Captain: , Westbrook, CT (453)

Dockage, at $1.50 per foot per night, is inexpensive for this area. Showers are basic and clean. Gasoline is available here, but not diesel. Town green is about two thirds of a mile away, lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Harry's, family owned and run, is well known for doing things the right way, environmentally as well as mechanically. Harry's was the first full service marina in CT to achieve the Clean Marina Designation by the CT DEP/EPA.
