Reviews for Harbour Isle Marina
pleasant stay, 2015-08-29
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (50)

I came in here to escape a tropical storm. Very nice floating docks, long fingers and very protected. Nice, friendly dock master and office manager. It was August so summer daily rate of $1.50 still applied. Lots of boats looked like they were tied up for the summer. Only problem I saw was too many sailboats tied up and left with furling jibs still up which would be a big problem if a hurricane came in.

Well protected and immaculate; needs Wifi, 2015-03-09
Captain: , Fayetteville, Arkansas (651)

Stayed for several nights on our way north. Beautiful marina with easy access. Would have rated it higher but there were no amenities except power and water. No showers, bathrooms or Wifi. Malcolm is the biggest asset this place has. He not only helped us dock but gave us local intel and was truly a wonderful and gregarious host. We understand that Wifi is to be added next. This is an immaculate and nice marina, well protected and not too far from laundry, groceries or the beach. We biked across the bridge to experience Ft Pierce and made the Saturday Farmer's market and the first Friday concert/fest. Had a great meal at 1:2:1 Tapas on the water, well worth the effort to dine there.

Great Experience, 2015-01-07

VERY protected marina. Surrounded by nice clean condos a few stories high which makes the marina calm as a millpond. The manager Tina couldn%u2019t be nicer and was very accommodating. I was staying on a month to month basis, left mid-month and they promptly sent me a check for the unused prorated rent. Most of the boats here were very nice trawlers, and my Grand Banks fit right in. I left my boat here while traveling back to CA, worked out very well. Boat seemed to be very safe. Airports aren%u2019t really close but you can get a one way rental car. No marina services here, bathrooms, wifi, etc, otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

This may well be a great place. We tried to stay one night. They wanted (1) signed contract, (2) $750 deposit by check, and (3) an endorsement to our liability insurance naming the marina with a limit of $500K. We did not visit the marina. Not worth the hassle. I told the person with whom I spoke that the requirements were not competitive. She said she would convey that to the owners.

Well protected marina, 2014-01-08
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (1081)

We came in here to get out of the wind and were delighted by what we found. Malcom the dock master is smart, helpful, and runs a great, little marina as noted by the previous strong comments. Nearby restaurant Capone%u2019s Hideaway has delicious food at good value. Closer is Chuck%u2019s Seafood with tasty meals, but higher prices. You can skip the Ramp Raw Bar and Grill. Walk less than a mile and you%u2019re into old Ft. Pierce, where you can enjoy the Saturday Market and myriad shops and bars. The only negative was the owner of a large boat in the marina who allowed his dog to pee on the floating concrete deck nearby and then walked away without hosing it off. Nice. Nevertheless, we%u2019ll be back to Harbor Isle Marina.

Waiting for weather, 2013-11-21

A well constructed, beautiful facility. Alicia and Malcolm are helpful and do everything they can to make your stay the best. You can bring your dingy in and dispose if you trash and walk to a great laundry and small market. Very nice restaurants nearby too.

Great hurricane Hole, 2013-05-14
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (216)

The Harbour is surrounded by 50' high concrete condo buildings. That, along with the floating docks that could absorb an 8' surge makes it an attractive place to get out of the weather.

Dock master Malcome is very knowledgable and helpful.

Chuck's, one of the best seafood restaurants in Florida is just across the street.

Captain: , Ft Pierce (11)

Sarah Anderson was a really great manager, and she was fired. The place has degraded significantly.

Nice and quiet, 2012-07-24
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (585)

Sarah and Malcolm are always most helpful when we have stayed at this marina. The condo developer built this marina when he built the condos. The concrete floating docks are first class. Pumpout and dumpster are available but that's about it. There is no current and the surrounding condos offer great wind protection. Chuck's Seafood Restaurant due north of the marina is on the south shore of Ft. Pierce Inlet. There is also a nice public beach on the south side of the inlet. Limited groceries and a few other restaurants can be found within a short walk to the east on Seaway Drive.

Well protected!, 2012-06-19
Captain: , Halifax Marina Daytona Beach (300)

very friendly staff, well maintained, floating docks, well protected, just a nice quiet marina

Well kept secret, 2012-05-29
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (780)

Terific location and excellent docks in a "hurricane hole" with top notch service from Sarah and Malcomb make up for lack of amenities (fuel, showers, laundry). A real find in an unexpected location. Try Capone's restaurant nearby for an excellent meal. Small pharmacy and supermarket are close by.

Great Quiet Place to Stop, 2012-05-20
Captain: , Houston TX (348)

We stopped here because it looked so interesting and we are glad we did. The docks are floating concrete and look new, in excellent shape. Sarah in the office was so helpful and gave us perfect instructions on how to get in here. We never saw less than 8' of water on the approach at low tide, and that was only at the turn off the ICW. Most of the approach channel was 10-15'. Inside the marina, we did not see less than 8.5' at low tide. We were met at the dock by Malcomb and after he helped us tie up he offered to take us to the grocery store if we needed anything. There aren't any amenities, just great docks in a very protected cove, with power, water and pumpout, but the price reflects that and after experiencing the chaos of Miami and south Florida, we loved the quiet evening we spent here!

No frills - but quiet!, 2012-05-19
Captain: , Ophelia, VA (849)

This marina sits in the middle of a large condo complex surrounded by 4 story buildings that provide grat wind protection. A jetty also blocks the waves in the ICW. We stopped here after a crossing from West End, Bahamas and enjoyed the peaceful nights sleep. A nice restaurant is across the street famous for the shrimp. At @ $1 a foot, it is a real bargain. There are no showers, heads, or laundry - just water and electric here and only because of that, I rated it a three.

Great protection and very friendly staff. Small grocery within walk. No facilities but good place to hold up from storms!

Harbour Isle Marina 03.19.12, 2012-03-20
Captain: , Emerald Isle, NC (300)

We stayed here 03.19.12 to visit with friends who were renting at the condos. Great pool and work out room. We are 47 loa/ 4.5 draft. Good water. Basin surrounded by condos. Very protected from wind. New 2005 I think. Very good floating docks. Not close to anything for walking. Very helpful staff and dock hands. Saw quite a few boats at anchor off the channel in to the marina.

Harbour Isle, 2011-11-04
Captain: , Wicomico Church (600)

Nice Marina but without any amenities.. ie no shower etc. but floating docks and clean..good rest. across the street

Great Hurricane Hole, 2011-07-05
Captain: , Vero Beach FL (120)

No fetch, floating docks with tall pilings making it a terrific place in a storm. Surrounded by Condos and no amenities except a pumpout cart that comes to your slip. Great facility to leave your boat as marina staff does twice daily dock checks.

Super Safe, 2011-03-05
Captain: , Nashville, TN (290)

This marina is a great port in a storm. The entry is a narrow straightforward path between condo buildings into a yacht basin surrounded by condos. except to the NE. Very nice floating concrete docks. No pool, cable tv or showers but great place to secure the boat

Super hospitality & price, 2009-10-23
Captain: , Washington, DC (447)

This a great marina to stop over while traveling the ICW ($1 per ft transient price quoted 10/22/09) or for the season ($13 per ft/mo). Wonderful dockmaster Sarah Anderson but little in the way of on-site staff...but first-class floating docks in very protected marina provide easy docking. No shopping in walking distance, however.
