Reviews for Harbour Island Club and Marina
New Ownership - Big Plans, 2017-06-22

Bernard and his team have amazing plans for this already wonderful marina and the historical surrounding property. There's a destination restaurant (been there 10 years) frequented by celebs who love the low profile, low pretense and Italian / Mediterranean menu of Aquapazza. Modest pool, blazing fast and free WiFi and a dock-master, Aldon with salt water in his veins. A dive shop, golf carts and fishing boats are all on site as well. I understand a "courtesy cart" might be in the works too. It's farther from town so rates are low.

Great People - Solid Facility - Excellent Lobster in Vodka Sauce!, 2017-02-25

Stayed 4 nights to explore Harbour Island for first time. As others have said this Marina is a 15 min walk to town. Super friendly place where I was offered a ride nearly every time I ventured into town. Restaurant at the marina is a popular Italian joint with yummy island creations and traditional Italian fair. Tiny plunge pool on site that we did not use.

Hortense and Alden took fantastic care of us. Really appreciated their hospitality and professionalism. Docks are in good shape, we had no issues with power, water or WiFi. Sea turtles everywhere. Easy 5 min walk to one of the nicest beaches anywhere.

Only issue we experienced was significant fetch that built when the wind clocked S then W. Every marina on the island has the same exposure so not much your going to do about that. We will certainly return!

Very Accommodating Good facility, 2016-04-22

Better prices than other marinas. Great staff, will do anything to help out boaters. Good power - we used 2x100amp single phase and only tripped once (but that was our problem/cause). Water is NOT reverse osmosis, so has a slightly brown color. Docks in good condition. trash cans near boats - no hike required. 1st class italian restaurant. would recommend for large or small boats alike. Agree with other comments about further from town - but everyone rents a golf cart anyway, whcih the dock office will arrange at best prices in town! Sea turtles galore around docks!

Nice friendly marina, 2015-03-21

this is the 3rd time we have gone into Harbour Island marina over the past 6 years. Agree with previous comments that Hortense and Aldon do a great job in managing the marina and docks. No R/O water available so don't fill your water tank. good food at Aquapazza Restaurant at end of dock. We use Little Woody to pilot over Devil's Backbone.

Great Facility, 2012-08-14
Captain: , Houston (774)

This is really a great facility. The marina manager, Hortense, and the dock manager, Aldon, are friendly and are always willing to help in any way possible. The marina is ther furtherest from town but town is only a 5 minute dinghy ride away. Can be rough in sout to west wind but the other two marinas have the same problem. We spent a month here and had a great time.

The private one., 2011-03-11
Captain: , MONARCH. COLORADO (1156)

This marina is the furthest from the town area and as such is a little more secluded from the day trippers that come each day on the ferry. The restaurant and bar are very attractive with a small and I mean small pool below it. Grounds are nice with seating spread around the property for relaxing. Docks are fixed and can be rolly in certain conditions.

Great place. Nice little pool area with a good bar and food. Out of town a bit so you need a golf cart. But less looky Lous.
