Reviews for Hampton River Club Marina
Great staff, 2014-10-17
Captain: , Saint Simons Island, GA (115)

Home Marina. Positive, supportive staff. Enter at mid to high tide for comfort. No eastward access to Atlantic. Staff most supportive for docking. Deeper water on outside of river curves. Do not hug markers.

Good Anchorage Just Off ICW, 2014-07-09
Captain: , bahia honda state park (60)

Turned off ICW at marker 222. Take G27 to the starboard going in. First anchored just before marker 25, but found current and wind difficult to settle down and give adequate room for boats to pass by. Moved past shallow area shown as 3 ft. and anchored beyond marker 25 in nice wider area with good holding and more room to swing with no conflict between current and wind for whatever reason. Prove to be a nice anchorage with shelter from the strong southerly winds.

Nice Stop., 2010-10-18
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

It is off the beaten path, but the staff is great and the ride up the Hampton is fun. I'd give it more stars, but it is a pricey place. I guess due to its semi-private status. The Dock Master (I forget her name) is extremely knowedgable and can provide much information on boating. You can continue onward east from here. Ask about an unmarked shoal in the sharp bend (I think it is at Marker 23, but it could be the next sharp bend where the 8' water is shown). IT is not an issue at mid-tide, but if you draw 4', you may hit it. It is along the northern (East?) shore.

Friendly place but ripping current, 2009-11-09
Captain: , Cruising (3259)

This is a nice little marina with very helpful and friendly staff. It's not very close to anything - we were visiting friends with a car, but we saw Enterprise Rental Car coming to pick someone up at the marina. St. Simons is a gorgeous island, but you need a car to get around. The current does rip through there, but the dock staff is very helpful with information and assistance.
