Reviews for Gulfport Dinghy Dock
Nice dock great town, 2016-03-16
Captain: , Sunset Beach, NC (1122)

We tied our 36 foot trawler to the floating dock at the very end. The sign states the South slips are for larger (than 13' I think?) and North side for smaler. Some pretty big boats came in on the weekend for the day, but beam on all but the end dock limited to about 12'

Do not try to stay overnight, even if someone tells you it is OK. Many, many people told us it would be OK, so we tried it. There are some liveaboards that use the dock often to make trips to shore, and it might appear that they have stayed overnight but they just come in for a few hours several times a day. One boat we saw did stay overnight but when we tried on a weekend day we got told to leave at 2AM.

Outstanding feature at Gulfport, 2015-11-23
Captain: , Chicago, IL (958)

There are several slips to accomodate mid-size boats (as noted below, 30' is probably the max), and the other side appears to be for dinghies. No power or water. Easy in & out, easy access to the cool little town of Gulfport. Dock access available until 11PM, no overnights.

great new docks, 2015-11-19
Captain: , st petersburg, fl (807)

noticed the new docks while out for a sail in Boca Ciega Bay. Decided to spontaneously tie up and enjoy some drinks in town. No problem tying my 30' sloop to the new floating docks.

nice dinghy dock and destination , 2015-11-02
Captain: , Biloxi, MS (458)

Easy to use dinghy docks and restaurants and bars galore. Gulfport is a funky little eclectic place that has oodles of charm and fun!

new floating slips added Summer 2015, 2015-09-10
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1120)

Space for 8 shallow-draft boats up to 30' length in new floating pier slips on the south side facing Boca Ciega Bay. No overnight, but much easier access to town for day visitors.

Dinghy Dockage that Cruisers Dream About, 2013-02-11
Captain: , St Petersburg (120)

Floating Dinghy Dock that offers reasonably good protection from wind and wakes. It is very welcoming and well maintained by the Town of Gulfport for the express use of visiting cruisers in the nearby anchorage. It is located in the center of town within 5 minutes walk of lots of fun shops, restaurants, bars etc. It is right on the trolley route with easy access to other parts of town.
