Reviews for Gulf Harbour Marina
Secure marina, but you might want to have a car, 2016-07-01
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (40)

We stayed for two months in the spring of 2015. This is really a very upscale, private marina for the folks who live at Gulf Harbour, but they rent unoccupied docks as available. Plusses are:
- first class floating docks
- very secure - the whole property is gated. Great place to leave your boat for a month while you are away.
- great protection behind a barrier island; no wakes or chop
- very helpful dockhands
- clean restrooms/showers and good laundry facilities
- free pumpout at your dock on request

Negatives are:
- It's a long walk just to the front gate. You'll need bikes at a minimum, or preferably a car.
- Weak wifi unless you take your device up near the office or have a booster on board.
- Aside from the restrooms and laundry, there are no facilities for transients. No lounge, TV, book exchange, or computer like you find at many marinas. You're not even allowed to eat at the on-site restaurant.

If you have a car (or bikes at least) and security and first class facilities are important, this is a great marina.

Nice marina, but..., 2015-01-24
Captain: , Cocoa FL (400)

Stopped in at fuel dock to join up with friend who stays at this marina. The facilities are modern and clean, but there is currently a lot of office construction going on. When I attempted to find the office door to ask for fuel, I was snapped at by the lady office worker ("what do YOU want?") who I was later told was the manager!? My wife witnessed this same manager refuse to allow some ladies access to the locked head. This said, the dock hand was very friendly and helpful and seemed apologetic for the actions of the manager. Simply put, as as transient I did not feel welcome to do business here.

No Access from land side, 2013-09-06

Tried to drive in to check it out.
24/7 Guard says no way unless you are a member ($20k) or have formal invite from a member.

Great docks, Great shelter, Great people, 2012-11-02
Captain: , Pensacola, FL (69)

The marina staff is very friendly and helpful, the restrooms are large and nice looking (but wear shower shoes, I don't think the cleaners do much in the stalls, at least in the off season judging by one hairball that was over a shower drain for more than two weeks) and air conditioned. The cafe is closed from spring and stays closed until mid-November. However, there are drinks and such available from the Ship's Store, and the lounge has Wifi access (and air conditioning). They let you stay for hurricanes, tied onto the floating docks with 15' concrete pilings securing them. Community is gated, you get ac parking pass renewed monthly or can pay non-refundable $25 for a gate transponder, security patrols regularly, seems very safe. Two washers/two dryers, pay, but not costly. Monthly charge is for a 40' minimum, so the only smaller boats you see will be from condo slipowners.

Great Service, 2012-08-05

Cheapest gas in town on this particular day and the fuel attendant was very friendly, efficient and helpful.

A first class marina in spite of few services, 2007-03-07
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (98)

If you are looking for a beautiful, safe and secure place to stay, this marina is it. It has nice restrooms and a decent laundry. Pump out is free at your slip and available 7 days a week. We've stayed here a month and loved it! No WiFi.
