Reviews for Great Oak Yacht Club
Great Oak Marina, 2013-06-10
Captain: , Annapolis (442)

6/8/13 Delivered a boat there. Well marked channel. Wathc coming through the cut strong current. Once inside very busy place and large. several beaches, golfing, restaurant, and bars. Place has a gym, pool. Food was good. Piers are bit confusing.

Nice marina with bars and restaurant. Facilities close during the week after the season ends. The bathroom / showers are the nicest you will find anywhere. Be very careful of the extreamly narrow (50' wide) enterance with extream current the flows in and out. Looks like a fast river on ebb and flood. Use slack tides if possible especially the first time. Great anchoring as well.

The Great Oak Yacht club is made up of young and old boaters. They are a fun group that should not be confused with some of the stuffier clubs you may encounter on the bay. They hold multiple functions during the season; picnics to cruises. Visiting yacht club members will find them quit hospitable.
