Reviews for Great Cove Boat Club
Great facility for seasonal renters, but no short-term transients, 2015-07-23
Captain: , York, ME (1880)

Full disclosure, I'm a member here. But I figured it was time someone wrote a review.

The club is a "members only" facility, but there are usually seasonal memberships available, summer or winter. Unfortunately there's no mechanism to allow transients.

It's a great place to store a boat for the winter. The slips are ice-free and have electric all winter. Storing on the hard requires no over-the-road travel. Sailboats don't need to unstep the mast. Members are allowed to work on their own boats, or use local contractors with no added fee. There's a heated indoor boathouse that's available by the day or the week for getting work done out of the weather.

In summer it's a working, full-service marina. Members can use the full galley, showers, heads, laundry, etc. There are social events and plenty of comradarie on the docks throughout the season. And the rates are very competative for the area.
