Reviews for Great Bay Marine
CNG available here, 2016-06-01
Captain: , Strafford, NH (610)

We had used Great Bay Marina in the past with our prior boat which was 30 feet in length. The fixed bridge keeps us from being able to get through to the docks. GBM does have CNG bottles for cooking to exchange for your empties, one of the few left along the coast. They also have parts for my outboard Honda 9.9 at the service desk.

Winter Storage and Electrical worl, 2015-08-24
Captain: , Kittery Point, ME (111)

I just signed up for my second winter of inside storage, based on last year's (2015) experience I signed up early to secure my storage. The storage facility was great (fairly new) and I had access to do DIY chores over the winter and early spring. I also had a new battery charger installed and the work was done professionally and on time. The staff was helpful and the marina store has a good supply of basic hardware. Good experience.

Great Service, 2014-10-29
Captain: , Newington, NH (10)

I had my Frers 30 hauled at Great Bay Marine and they fixed a diesel leak on my Yanmar that I could not locate. The staff is very helpful and it is a great place to store your boat for the winter.

go else are for major repairs, 2014-10-28
Captain: , Dover, NH (40)

marina is only accessable at low tide for masts over 52'.
they do not complete work when promised and what they do is not thorough.
they replaced transmission without lock tight. after about 60 hours it broke off the engine mount. refused to cover any of $2200 repair cost and
invited me to go elsewhere which I did.

Good Service but not aimed at transients, 2014-08-13
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (352)

A long way up a very fast river from the attractions of Portsmouth and limited moorings or tie-up. This marina is a mainstay for the local boating community. The restaurant is a little quirky in its hours, but has good food and loyal clientele. The service yard does professional work and seems limited only by the availability of certain parts...but they can usually get them for you. We actuallty had the part we needed in spares and their tech was able to effect our repair same-day. Friendly and accomadating folks to deal with. Costs are in line with other yards in the area. Our boat is a 46' trawler.

Good crew and service, 2014-04-24

I had my sedan flybridge in dry storage here for 2013 and have a mooring here this year summer 2014. They have repaired my other boat and this one with professional service and really good staff. I like this place and recommend it. Even with stormy 40 mph winds Little Bay and Great Bay are not that choppy.

Yes we can...NOT!, 2013-01-20
Captain: , Rockport, Me (191)

I feel the marina has great potental, but falls short on services when it comes to fast help when you need it. Yard is more into making money rather then accommodate the customers. Suggest call a taxi go into local town for sleep and food and help. Many services available for boats.

comfortable mooring, 2012-07-15
Captain: , Portsmouth (21)

I am currently moored here and the marina is very nice. Clean facilities, plenty of room at dinghy dock, quiet at night. resaurant has weird hours though

friendly service, 2009-08-20
Captain: , Buffalo (1154)

Everything you need is here - gas, diesel, pumpout, repairs, travelift, parts store, restaurant. All this plus very friendly service.

The high tides and very fast tidal currents in the river do not effect this marina.

Great Bay Marine, 2007-08-02
Captain: , No. Berwick, ME (164)

This Marina has just about any boating service capability that one could need. It is clean. It is expensive. Getting my Honda serviced there has always required at least 2-3 weeks wait.
