Reviews for Gratitude Marina
Easily Accessed Quiet Marina, 2017-09-20
Captain: , Severna Park, MD (20)

We stayed two nights over Fourth of July Weekend with calm winds. Slip was easy to access and staff friendly and helpful. Bath houses are very clean and bikes are provided for trips into town. Nice little air conditioned library to get a respite from the heat and fantastic sunsets from dock. Even with the many boats returning to Swan Creek following the fireworks, slip was not rolly. View of the lower fireworks was obscured by trees so I would recommend heading to the beach for a better view.

Great Experience!, 2017-06-24
Captain: , Herrington Harbour South (328)

I typically reserve a 5-star rating for marinas with a pool, restaurant, etc. but the professional, friendly and helpful attitude of everyone at Gratitude gave them a 5-star rating. Pulled in for a short-haul last week to inspect/replace zincs. They hauled me out right away and launched me as soon as I was ready. Next they lined up Rick (who shall forever be remembered as St. Rick) from Miller Marine Service to repair our AC. Rick was there within an hour and a half after the phone call and repaired our AC. We had a nice slip for the night. Bathhouse very modern and clean. Tram (in season) to grocery store, restaurants and anywhere you want to go. Free bikes available. Very nice and easy in/out fuel dock.

Fuel up Here!, 2013-09-16
Captain: , Williamstown, MA (335)

Gratitude Marina is almost a mandatory stop for us. Their fuel dock has very easy access both in and out. Their staff is both professional and friendly. The marina is located right on your way in or out of the very popular Swan Creek anchorage.

Positive experience with Gratitude Service facility, 2013-08-26
Captain: , Jordan Creek, NC (20)

In contrast to the negative experience I had with service part of Haven Harbor (am NOT referring to the marina), I had very positive experience at Gratitude. I was anchored in nearby Swan Creek with a broken windlass. Spoke with the yard manager, Bill Helwegge, about my problem..needed a professional to reinstall the windlass motor (it had been repaired by a shop in Annapolis). Mr. Helwege wanted the boat brought to his docks but I had a 66lb Bruce and all chain rode on the bottom that had to be raised by brute strength. I am singlehandling and a woman and could not do this. He came out, hauled the anchor, helped me into a slip, service tech installed windlass and Mr. Helwege moved me out of the slip (it was very tight docking area). I was only billed for the hour labor to actually install the charge for Mr. Helwege's time. Now that is great service! I would recommend Gratitude to anyone!

Nice small, quite marina., 2013-06-21
Captain: , Gull Bay, Lake George, NY (274)

We have been here 3 times now, 2013, 2012, and 2010. This year we chartered with Chesapeak Dolphen Charters which is based out of the marina. Very quite place. Clean restrooms/showers, free Wi-Fi, docks all in good shape. 6 feet depth all around. Deeper closer to channel. Not super well protected from the South wind. A long walk to town and any shopping, but the marina does have bikes. The marina is located directly off Swan creek channel, so you can get wakes from boats or from a strong South blow. Fuel and pump-out dock east to get to. Will come back again for sure.

Stopped for gas, 2013-05-29
Captain: , Sue Creek-Harrington Creek (337)

Took about 20 minutes for someone to come out after hail for gas. Poor guy was doing 50 things at once. Very friendly, though. The fuel dock can be a very, very bumpy place to gas up.

Not a good experience with complex service work on power boat, 2012-09-14
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (250)

Osprey Point Marina (owned by the same owner as Gratitude) is fabulous -- One of the greatest marina's on the Chesapeake, hands-down! However, we had a sub-par experience here at Gratitude with work done on our power boat. Probably because there aren't enough qualified technicians to cover spikes in work. I've heard many recommend Haven Harbor, nearby, for maintenance.

New Management, 2012-08-15
Captain: , Rock Hall, Md. (50)

2012 has brought a newq management team to the facility and they go out of their way to satisfy their customers. As a slipholder at their sister marina (Osprey Point) I use their services for most of my boating needs and have been more than satisfied. I recommend them highly

change of mangement has improved service, 2011-10-05
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (130)

In the past they were very unresponsive at the fuel dock and the prices were at least $1 gal. over prevailing rates. They now have a new manager and we have noticed that they are more responsive to radio calls and the prices are more in line

Great Marina, 2011-05-16
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (179)

Facilities have been upgraded in the last few years. The showers are clean and well-kept. Staff are tops. The only drawback is that boats are not sheltered and it can be rough during storms and high winds. Upside: the fantastic sunsets from your cockpit.
