Reviews for Grand Marais Campground and Marina
Breakwall on the East side of bay, 2017-07-02
Captain: , Kansas City (200)

Note that you can also tie up at the breakwall on the East side of the bay near the Coast Guard station.

Price was $0.50 per foot with a self pay station near at hand.

There are porta johns just past the Coast Guard station or walk slightly into town and use the public restrooms right at the town hall (kept unlocked during non-buisness hours too)

You can pay for showers seperately from the campground for $3

Many stores and resturants make Grand Marais a welcome resupply point on this otherwise fairly austere portion of the lake.

Don't miss it.

Nice Marina, 2015-09-08
Captain: , La Crosse, WI (941)

Reasonably clean facilities shared with the campground. Nice people and amazingly quiet for such a large campground. Easy walking distance to town that caters to tourists. North House Folk School is located in the marina. Worth spending time to partake in the activities.

Fun tourist town, 2014-08-02
Captain: , Seattle (131)

Watch your depths when you get to the marina and pay attention to the shallows along the wall. Great fuel price and warm, friendly folks who fit us in on a festival weekend. Bathrooms are marginal because they're shared with a huge campground contingent. Everything else is fine. The town attracts a lot of land folks so there's plenty of live music and drinking and eating establishments. Don't miss the donuts!
