Reviews for Gordon Marina
Helped us out to have a slip for the night, 2017-07-17

After not finding space on the two prior lock walls, couple hours away, and being told by another marina they were full and wouldn't allow us to dinghy dogs to shore, we pressed on to Bobcaygeon. We had reservations for the next two nights at Gordon's Yacht Harbor, but not for this night. One quick call and we were told to come on in, they would find a spot for our two boats traveling together.
Larger boats only fit on the fuel dock, but we were accommodated and they still had space to bring in boats to refuel. Gas only.
Fast pump out!
Nice, clean place, mostly catering to local seasonal boaters. Two multi stall wash/shower rooms, laundry, ice and ice cream.
You can see part of the blue line for lock 32 from here and easy, quick walk to Bobcaygeon stores and restaurants.
Wifi wasn't very strong or fast.

Bad Experience, 2016-06-20

We stopped here on Saturday, June 18th. First off trying to reach the marina by radio or phone was almost impossible. Leaving a message doesn't work either. We finally reached them around four and were told we could stay on the gas dock, Saturday and Sunday nights if we arrived closer to closing time. We motored around for an hour or so before heading back to the marina. We found out, to late, that one of their 30 amp plugs is wired reverse and it fried a plug strip and 12 to 24 power supplies on the boat. Then about eight thirty Sunday morning they told us we had to leave because they had mistakenly double booked the spot on the gas dock. This is the first place in Canada that we have run into unfriendly people. They made us feel like we were intruding on their space, plus they charged us for privledge. The facility was great and close to town but I wouldn't stop again based on what we experienced.

We called ahead and got a space behind the fuel dock for our 36' trawler. Good electric, water, and wifi. Baths and showers fine. Two blocks to a good hardware store, and another 2 blocks to a Kawartha ice cream factory. A short walk over three bridges toa very busy tourist town. For The Halibut resteraunt did not disappoint. Lock walls filled quickly. Rental houseboats need plenty of room and attention while attempting to navigate in close quarters.

Not much choice if you're larger than 40', 2015-07-25

Unless you're fortunate to find overnight space on the lock walls, this is the only game in town for a big boat, and they may only have one or two spaces at best. You'll be on the fuel dock and have to leave around 9AM. Having said that, the place was good and the docks, power, water and general location were pefectly fine. Book early if on a summer weekend.

Three bridges to town, 2015-07-08

We stayed on the gas dock for one night. Great staff and clean restrooms. The shoe store is a big deal here. One gal on the adjacent boat has a narrow foot and found 6 pair that fit her for around $1100.
My wife found them too be pricy!!

Good stop for the night., 2014-07-09

Dock on the fuel dock in the river. Clean restrooms. Hardware store 2 blocks away. Many restaurants within walking distance

Nice marina close to town, 2014-06-13
Captain: , Nowhere,OK (1314)

We stayed on the fuel dock for our visit (Quo Vadimus is 45')

Little water traffic, made up of rental houseboats. Clean bathrooms, washer/dryers on site. Gas only, and Pumpouts .

5 min walk takes you to a well stocked hardware store, a breakfast place and a taro reader.

10 mins the other way takes you into town, shoe and clothing, grocery, pharm, toys, etc. LCBO and a Beer Store.

Just for the Halibut is 1/2 takeaway fish and chips and 1/2 dine in. The dine in menu is very good, we were very pleased.

Call ahead if you are staying two days. With this being a hot looper location, pretty busy traffic through here.

Nice restrooms & showers. Stayed on fuel dock and it was quiet. Not as close to town as staying on the lock wall.
