If a transient, just motor up to the northern dock and find a place appropriate for your size and start to med moor. Watch the dock and someone will show up either to help you with your lines, or wave you off, or using hard to discern hand signs, tell you to come to another place. It can be entertaining to watch the process. If unsure, anchor nearby and tender in, talk with the dock staff, view the place they are proposing, then go back and come on in.

Straight and easy. Plenty of deep water. Unless it is an exceptional day, transients use the northern dock, and not the southern one.

Dinghy access

Yes - To the west of the marina, between the two wood docks, nearly always full and quite busy. Downside, many of the tenders come in fast and furious and have no sense to control their wake. As the area is quite popular, huge charter ships anchor here, and their tenders are not small nor light. Yelling at them to slow is useless.

Liveaboard info

No - However, if one wanted to spend a month of two here outside the high season, they would welcome you.

Fuel brand: But not euro diesel. This has to come to you via tanker, which they can arrange.

Pump out

Yes - It is free, you have to go across the bay to pump out. There is also a service that will come to you in a cove / anchorage to pump you out. Currently (2012) free, summer only. Need to have a Blue Card, if found not to have one, fines upward of 9000 TL (not a typo) are possible. Card cost 20 tl and you need your passport / boat papers and tank capacities.

Note: You must have a Blue Card. Do not get caught dumping any gray or black water here. The fines are swift and steep. This is not a typo. This area requires you to collect your gray water.

Yes - Vendors in town.

Reviews for Gocek Municipal Marina
Bumpy, noisy and busy, 2015-07-20
Captain: , Poole (80)

It is the base for Pupa (Kiriacoulis) so we started our charter from here in July 2015. Though the town has changed hugely in the 20 years from my first visit, the town 'marina' has not improved (tying off to wooden jetty). It is convenient for the town however.

Municipal Marina, 2012-08-25

The currancy used in this marina is Turkish Lira, which does not appear to be an option on the site yet. This marina is really just two long wooden docks and the southern dock is mostly people with contracts, and the Northern dock is for transients and charters. We stayed here off and on for more than 10 days and while its head and shower facities are not the best, it is located at the foot of town, easy walk into town, and easy walk to hardware stores, groceries and the like. For our 50' boat an average day would be about 70 TL (July 2012) per night, including electricity and water. See details though for some "challenges."
