Reviews for Glenarm Marina
Glenarm Marina, 2013-09-01
Captain: , Conwy, N. Wales (13850)

This is a really quiet and pretty small town. The marina surroundings are not perfect, being next to some derelict commercial buildings, but walk around the back and there is a beautiful display of flowers. The town clearly takes pride in its floral displays, and they really make it look good.

The welcome we got when we arrived was second to none - Billy met us as we came in, helped us tie up, gave us all the information we needed about the town and facilities and gave us the electronic gate key which gets you in everywhere. The facilities themselves are very new and it's so refreshing after just cruising Scotland to visit a marina that doesn't charge for access to toilets, charge per use of showers, charge per use of washing machines and dryers, charge for electricity, charge for farting on the pontoons, etc.

It's well worth doing the forest walk if you have time and the weather is good - it takes an hour and there are some hills, but coming back down the glen is beautiful. We like Glenarm and will be back!
