Reviews for Glades RV Park and Marina
Unusual but useable., 2016-03-28
Captain: , YORKTOWN, VA (293)

This 500 recreational vehicle park is beautifully maintained but not much of a marina. There are 1 or 2 beat up transient slips, but the water and power is good. People in the park are very friendly and eager to help . This is an okay stop if you want to make the 70 mile trip from Stuart. A warning if you have a dog. The place is packed with rabbits. My dog almost killed himself chasing rabbits.

Docks are more than just dated, 2016-01-07

Not well set up for transients; mostly for liveaboard. Docks are beyond repair with spiles rotting. One small washroom/shower near docks. Women's shower much farther away out of order. Some renovations underway for restaurant and washrooms/showers so next year might be better.

No room for transients 2015/ 2016, 2015-04-15

Just for information : tried to book a transient slip and we were told that this marina is full till 2016.

Friendly location & restful, 2014-01-25

Spent 1 night here & found the location very comfortable. The docks were somewhat dated & the restroom/shower was limited as there was only 1 to serve both sexes & all guests. The wi-fi was not free as noted in the information here. They recently changed their provider to one that requires setting up an account & paying. The on site restaurant was very good & we enjoyed the oysters & gator.

Nice overnight stop, 2013-05-01

Had an overnight here on 4/6/2013. After a long day with a newly purchased boat we needed the rest. Nice restaurant on top of the hill. Complementary golf cart use, clean showers. Very peaceful night and we were up and out early the next morning.

Good location, price is right, 2013-04-15

For $1/ft, I love this place. Its not your 5 star Hilton, but its not high priced either. We just needed a dock with electric to beat the 92 deg heat. Bruce met us at the dock and helped tie up. Nice folks here. Let us use the golf cart to go to the pool.
The docks are funky. The one we tied to only had planking on half of it but we made it work. Then there was only a single 30amp power, but that was all we needed to run the air conditioner so that worked for us. Couldnt find any trash cans ! Can walk the dog in the grass right off the dock as long as you clean up, and we always do. Would definitely stay here again for $1/ft. I dont like paying $2/ft like on the East Coast !!!!! Our next stop is going to be Indiantown Marina, also $1/ft. as we head easterly.

Convenient stopover on way to the West Coast, 2012-08-10

We stopped here overnight after crossing the lake, headed west. It is situatedon a curve that goes off to the right, and if you're not looking for a small sign off to the left, you'll miss the marina tucked off to the south down a short channel.

Bruce, the dockmaster, was most helpful in getting us tied up, and loaned us a golf cart to make the 1/2 mile run to the pool for a much-needed cool-off.

Great place to watch a sunrise.

Now or Never/Glades, 2012-04-26

nice place to just hang out for a while. Golf course, swimming pool, weight room, club house, nice book exchange, shuffle board, driving range, laundry, has a nice grill. No fuel, but a nice layed back marina, and dockmaster was a great help with everything.

Restfull Marina, 2011-11-18
Captain: , Flagler Beach, Florida 32136 (305)

Stopped for a nights stay in April 2011. Good protection from weather. No facilities to speak of, However friendley folks that live ab oard. One mate took us into townn for groceries. Had a very pleasant stay over night. Hot, but quiet.

Needs some TLC, 2011-05-12
Captain: , Fort Myers (749)

Found this little marina as an alternative to the higher priced River Forest. The docks are in need of some repair but provide excellent protection from virutally all wind and currents. The dockmaster lives in this small marina and looks after of all the boats. If you are looking for amenities or anything more than a summer home for your boat, this is not the place for you. However for 8/foot, this freshwater and hurricane protected marina suited our needs.
