Reviews for Genesee Yacht Club
GYC is great, 2016-07-31
Captain: , Toronto (64)

I have visited this club twice in the past 2 years. The members are very friendly, welcoming, and always make you feel at home.

Still a Great Stop, 2016-05-26
Captain: , Britt, Ontario (691)

In the years we sailed Lake Ontario this was always a favourite. 10 years later it still is! Slips are sized for smaller boats (up to about 32-35 ft). They can't do enough for you - "my house is your house."

Fun club and great people, 2012-03-04
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

Don't always have transient slips available, so call ahead.
Stores are very close at hand.
Mind the river current on approach if it's been raining hard.

All about sailing, 2011-06-11
Captain: , Rochester, New York (50)

This Yacht Club is focused exclusively on sailing and maintains a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Most members work on their own boats and are always eager to help others and share knowledge. If your goal is to impress others with a flashy vessel and grand stories of your sailing exploits you might be better off somewhere else. If you goal is to find friendly people who love to sail, have abilities and skills to share and are warm and welcoming.... this is a place you will enjoy.
