Reviews for Galop Canal-Iroquois Landing Marina
Hardly a "Marina", 2013-08-20
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (552)

This facility is currently rated 4 stars in AC but deserves to be rated maybe 2 stars. It utilizes the walls of an old lock and facilities are clean but rather basic. Some specifics:
1. The location in AC is incorrect which could be a problem. The "Marina" is actually one basin south of the position indicated.
2. Their pump out hose is about 12' long and about 10' from the water! Useless for our boat and for most larger cruisers. This is a problem we encountered several times in Canada. Hose must be expensive in Canada.
3. Not all "positions" have access to power. We had to borrow a 50' cable to add to our 50' cable to get 30 amps
4. Ditto water.
The manager (Sally) and the people we met were very friendly and helpful. In the USA this is a $1.00 a foot facility.

Iroquois Marina, 2012-01-12
Captain: , Toronto (135)

As with the other review a very secure quiet stop just downstream from the Iroquois Lock. Ideal spot after transiting from Lake Ontario and before doing the rest of the seaway to Montreal.

A wonderful stopover on those long St. Lawrence Transits, 2011-03-23
Captain: , Iroquois, ON (105)

The Old Galop Canal marina, situated in a maintained section of the old galop canal lock, is a marvelous place to stop over on those long St. Lawrence river transits. Staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are great. Uptown is only a few minutes walk away.
