Stayed on night January 19, 2015. $1.50 per foot. Lots of dock help, nice floating docks. Not much in the way of amenities, but a good marina.

The ships stores is still just an idea. The restrooms and laundry facilities are in and top notch. There is even a selection of swap books and videos in the laundry room. Fuel, ice and pump outs are available. The City of Freeport is budgeting capital improvements to the marina to enhance its amenities.

The staff and tenants really make this a nice marina. You'll usually find someone standing on the dock to take your lines when you arrive.

A great place, 2014-03-25

The new floating docks and facility are A-1. The restrooms and showers are as new. The staff were on the dock linehandling for us. Wi Fi fast and strong. When you leave the Intercoastal up the old Brazos river, it is a 2.5 mile run, keep going the marina is tucked behind the flood gates with 69 ft vertical clearance. Worth the trip.

Very nice marina, staff, location and value., 2013-07-14

We stayed here for TMCA's Spring Fling in 2012. Very nice and clean marina with floating docks. In the river so very protected. In case of a hurricane, it is inside the gate which protects it from storm surge. Visited in July, 2013 and they now have showers and restrooms, and the indoor storage is up and running with a 30,000# capacity forklift.

Staff make this worth visiting, 2013-04-12

This marina is advertised as being in the heart of downtwn Freeport... this is true except Freeport clearly died years ago.. Do not expect to find a bustling town, a bank, Dollar General and a hardware store are the highlights... There is also a great fish shop, the red snapper there is excellant.

Angie who runs the marina is amaingly helpful although I am told she is leaving to go sailing.

The rest rooms are now very good and have 23 hour access through a side door.

Word of warning the if you are a sailing boat you can probably only access the first two slips as the bridge is lower others in the area so beware before you attempt to go under.

Nice place, 2012-08-03

Not much to add other than we really like the marina. Had a great visit with some of the tenats.

Good facility, 2012-06-21
Captain: , Corpus Christi (161)

We stayed 2 nights on F peer. New facility, very clean with good finishing from the marina peer. No gas or diesel yet. No laundry yet. Is about 1 mile from 2 restos and 1 old grocery hardware store. During our stay, the marina manager let us use a 4 person cart which was great. If possible, stay on the G peer which is not right below the bridge (truck noise at night).

great place great deal, 2011-09-10
Captain: , Freeport, tx (100)

I am moving my boat to this marina from Galveston. The prices are very reasonable for a newer floating pier marina.
You can walk to town in less than two minutes for a drink and minor supplies. The gal running the place seems sharp and pleasant.
The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is that there is not much in the area as far as services and stores though I know that is to change in a year or so. It is a longer drive than my old marina but I think it is worth it for the quick out to the Gulf and to be directly behind a hurricane barrier for protection.
I will write more about more places in the area as I explore my boats new home.

Limited Progress, 2011-06-29
Captain: , Port Aransas, Texas (85)

The docks are floating, and new. We stayed here last June and now June 2011. The ramps have been installed, and the gates are in place and locked. There is one large porta-potti, no showers. Bring your own dolly or cart if you need gasoline, as there is a quick stop with gas a short walk away (but further than you will want to haul a five gallon can). River Cafe is good restaurant - but an even further walk. We tried a new eatery just down the levee called Captain Ken's. Open air bar. Call ahead and he will have fried catfish as a choice, along with his regular ceviche, boiled shrimp, and oyster "tacos" (which are not actually tacos). Sells beer. Owner operated. Very casual. Worth a try for the adventurer.

New Marina, 2010-05-24
Captain: , Scottsdale Arizona (67)

This is a brand new marina. It was started by private developers but after several years of wrangling with the city they wound up owning and operating the property. They are just getting open and TMCA is planing a stop there on a June 2010 cruise to check it out.
