Reviews for Fraser Park Marina
This is a must stop, 2016-06-12
Captain: , Woodstock, Georgia (409)

Trent Port Marina is a wonderful stop before your adventure on the Canal. Their showers, restrooms, laundry and boaters lounge are top notch. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a pleasent one. It is an easy walk to town. Fuel and Pump Out are off site, just around the corner.

Good Place to prepare for TSW, 2015-08-22
Captain: , Southport, NC (637)

Stayed here prior to entering Trent-Severn Waterway. Biked to Lock to buy mooring and lock passes.

Stiff current, 2015-08-06
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

There is a free day dock at the old location now.
Very helpful staff, who go out of their way to assist you.
The stiff current begs awareness, especially for sailboats, as the bridge is VERY close.
Other wise this is a very convenient fuel stop with the option of in-town shopping.

Review of "Old" Marina, 2015-07-26
Captain: , Honey Harbour, Ontario (170)

Helpful. From diesel dock to backing into slip (strong current). Friendly, helpful staff.

Very nice place, 2015-07-24
Captain: , Chattanooga, TN (370)

We stayed here on 6-23 before starting up the T-S Waterway and had a good night. Facilities were clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Apparently this one will be closed soon when the new marina is fully operating, but when we stayed, they were not allowing transients to use the new place yet.

Great new facility, 2015-07-17
Captain: , Sandusky, Ohio (392)

Beautiful new facility just opened on July 15th. Fuel dock / pump out at the old place by the bridge, marina in front of Alyea Park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers in the office/club house rival 5 star hotels. Lounge, meeting room, and great wifi at the docks. Laundry is free and includes detergent. Work still going on with landscaping, etc, but sure to be a great place when completed. For three nights we paid $176.96 CN, including $20.36 HST, for our 36 foot boat with 30 amp service. Diesel was $198.62CN, for 200 litres.

These folks hustle, 2015-07-15
Captain: , Essex, CT (1675)

The kids who work here take their job seriously and work hard to satisfy their clients. From pumping your fuel, emptying your black water or just getting you tied up they do with gusto. The new place which they've built will be spectacular when finished. But even the older spot is worth because of the staff.

Nice marina, 2015-07-04
Captain: , Fort Pierce City Marina, FL (460)

We spent a night here after leaving the TS. Craig is a great manager and has some excellent kids helping him. Until the new city marina is finished, they are handling all of the transients. You have close access to groceries and a great Italian restaurant. We enjoyed the stay.
We have a 54' Offshore and they made space for us. Plenty of water.

Fraser Park , 2015-06-25
Captain: , Bayou Bonfouca, LA- Great Loop Cruiser (708)

The current docks are in the stages of being moved further downstream to a new beautiful facility.
However, for loopers, the current downtown dock is the best for fuel purchases and pump out. There is no current plan for fuel and the new facility.
Some of the best fuel prices we have found along the TS.

Gateway To The Trent Severn Waterway, 2014-07-27
Captain: , Green Cove Springs FL (1394)

Stayed two nightg 6-20-14 to 6-22-14. Craig is the best. A great knowledgeable, friendly and helpful Dock Master. He understands two 30A to a 50A and Hubbell Smart box. Marina is wired right. We throughly enjoyed the Farmers Market as well as the two concerts right at the Marina. Everything you need is convenient and close by. The walk to Mt. Pellon offered a great view. This is a must stop. Capt Helen & Chief Engr Bob Onboard

Great marina! Best place to start the Trent-Severn, 2014-07-16
Captain: , Hertford, NC (61)

We stayed here twice, before starting the Trent-Severn and again on our return. Craig and Sandy are the best! We felt at home. They were very courteous, helpful, and fun to talk with. Trenton has everything you need to provision before starting the Trent-Severn- groceries (Metro), liquor (LCBO), beer store (across bridge about 4 blocks), NAPA store (they delivered and installed an 8D bettery on the boat for no extra charge), and lots of restaurants. Our favorite was the Japanese-Thai restaurant a block from the marina. Thanks Craig!

Good start for Trent Severn, 2014-07-10
Captain: , Massapequa,NY (1176)

Park setting with electric, water & wi fi. One block away from downtown with many restaurants & shops. Friendly & helpful dock master. A little noisy & military planes fly over constantly.

Great stop & harbor master, 2014-07-03
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (7374)

Fraser Park Marina is a must stop if you are heading for the Trent Severn Waterway. Craig & Sandy did everything possible to make for a pleasant stay. Their new pump out broke down, but they had it repaired within a couple of days; not easy Canada Day weekend. Power (Hydro in Canada) can be a challenge, but everyone in the marina was accommodated. Very clean & roomy restrooms/showers. Marina is close to everything you to need to provision your cruise.

Excellant beginning to the Trent Severn, 2014-07-02
Captain: , Venice, Fl. (949)

We stayed 3 nights here because of Canada Day. Craig was most accomadating and tried to please all, and probably suceeded. Great location for provisioning. Tomasso's & Bistro Pub were excellant for dinner. Diesel was $145.90/liter. Clean restrooms!

Good jump off point for the Trent-Severn, 2014-06-19
Captain: , Pensacola, Fl (70)

The location of this marina was convenient to provisioning and also a beautiful town. Craig, the dockmaster, was very friendly and accomadating. He works to make everyone happy.

Great Location, 2014-06-15
Captain: , Cape Coral, Fl (838)

Good provisioning stop with Metro (grocery store), drug store and plenty of other shopping nearby. Craig at Fraser Marina is very nice and helpful and goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. Laundry is across the bridge a couple of blocks but we dropped off laundry and went next door to Wahoos for lunch.

Great Location., 2014-06-05
Captain: , Naples, FL (1096)

Agree with all the previous reviews. Want to point out that there is a new supermarket across the bridge, called Fresh. Good produce and prices. There is also a wonderful chip wagon TJ just as you cross the over the bridge and to your right. If you have never had Canadian french fries, you are in for a treat.

Come see Canada, See Trenton / Prince Georges County first, 2014-06-04
Captain: , Nowhere,OK (1314)

Up first is the 12 slip transient marina managed by Craig. He got us in, he got us a discount on Fish and Chips and settled in for the night.

Sunday, we decide we want a car, everybody is closed. Craig finds a car and by noon we are heading into Prince George's County for Wine, Cheese in a trip to Picton. It was all good, learned a ton about still wines, even more about carbonated wines.

Lots of shopping close by, great places to eat. The TD bank on the corner is used to Americans changing money, highly recommend them.

The Chamber of Commerece people were good with places to go and things to see.

We spent two days and it was great being a tourist. Rember to write into Goverment Canada and tell them how much you spent because of Craig and Fraser Park Marina.

Gas/Diesel/Water/Pumpout/Showers/New cruising Guides/Ice cream and details about everything in town.

If the rest of the people in Canada are 1/2 as nice as Craig, we will have a great trip.

Great stopping off place, 2014-02-19
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (354)

Very friendly and helpful staff. The village is a short walk. This is a good place to re-provision.

Quimby in Trenton, 2013-08-14
Captain: , Meredith, NH (638)

Spent two days here. Accomodations excellent and dock people extremely helpful.

You Must Stop, 2013-07-18
Captain: , Cape Haze, Fl (140)

What a nice marina. Great grocery store, Metro, 2 blocks anything you could want. Don't know what else we can say about Craig, except an exceptionally nice guy. He was so helpful and went out of his way to make us welcome!!
You won't be disappointed if you stop. Reasonable price per foot. I'm giving it 5 stars because we're not into all the "bells & whistles", we just thought this was a great little marina!!

Great downtown marina, 2013-07-18
Captain: , Port of Toronto (306)

The marina is a bit small, but Craig the dockmaster makes up for everything. Try the ice cream from the marina office.

Washrooms are clean though old. Easy walk to restaurants, LCBO and food stores. Some boaters don't follow the 'no wake' rules while going up the Trent/Severn canal so put out an extra fender or two.

There is a farmer's market just up Division St (before the LCBO) starting at 7am on Saturday. The problem is most of the vendors don't show before 9 or 10.

fraser Park Marina, 2013-06-23
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (445)

Only addition to the already great reviews is that the internet is now much easier to access. Though tight quarters Craig is most helpful in docking advice. Water by wall where we docked as well as 50 amp.
Godd Italian restauarnt a block away Tomasso's.

Super place to stage for the T-S Canal, 2013-06-21
Captain: , Patrick AFB Florida (1254)

Craig is great! Helped coming in to the dock with relatively swift current prior to entering the protected docking area; helpd identify local spots of interest; scooped big cups of Kawartha Blackberry Thunder ice cream (THE BEST). This is a place you'll want to stop and resupply prior to starting the T-S. Metro supermarket is an easy two-block walk away and is well stocked (they even have my wife's DIET green Mountain Dew, unfortunately, no diet red MD in Canada, yet). Restrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained. WiFi was iffy when we were there (6/13 & 14) and required three calls to the help desk to get online; other boaters were having the same problem.

Craig is the Marina!, 2013-06-10
Captain: , Charleston, SC (422)

Craig is most helpful and more than willing to give praise for boat handling when virtually none is due. Great the center of town with restaurants, hardware store, a Home Depot like store and much more. You have to walk over the bridge to get to a laundry..probably only drawback. We walked to Rogers for a sim card for my Ipad...other than weather, we had a great time.

Good place to stock up, 2012-09-11
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

Stayed here one night before crossing back to the Oswego Canal. Restrooms need updating but Staff is very helpfull when you dock here. If you top off your water - ask for a long water hose and they will help you. Supermarket and restaurants are in close walking distance. If you have the time look at the Hardware store - partly antique!!

All around Great, 2012-07-09
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (1850)

Spent several nights here to rest and prepared for TSW. Craig and Sandy are wonderful. Trenton is very friendly with grocery, hardware, restaurants, liquor, auto parts all within a few blocks. Lock 1 is 30 minute walk away - good idea to go up there ahead of your passage to buy your passes, etc. Several posts were made commenting on how well Craig does at getting boats in the marina. Ditto. Great spot. Terrific.

Fraser Park Marina is the nuts !, 2012-07-07
Captain: , Pultneyville, NY (285)

Greg takes VERY good care of his customers and that's a fact.

Friendly service, great place to overnight.

Nice Marina, 2012-07-05
Captain: , Savannah (128)

One of the tightest marinas I have had to dock at. They put me across the back wall with boats on one end. Dock hands were very good and got us in and out with little problems. Very helpful. Nice town and a good place to get ready for the Trent/Severn.

Fraser Park Marina, 2012-06-15
Captain: , punta gorda, fl (1448)

Really nice comfortable place. The people who manage the marina are very helpful. Fairly small place so call ahead. Nice park setting right downtown close to numerous restaurants, grocery store, liquor store. We biked down to lock #1 (1.8 miles - go out front street until you get to the roundabout and bear right) to buy our TSW locking pass. Marina sells great ice cream. There are not a lot of water connections but there is a long hose on one to reach out onto the floating dock. Clean bath/showers.

Good Starting Point, 2012-06-12
Captain: , Cincinnati (1810)

This is a good spot to stop and clear customs. Graig is one of the most gracious hosts we have met on the loop. The docks are adequate. 30A service but water is far away and require multiple hoses. Graig will supply extra hoses. WIFI is available but difficult to use. Would stay here again.

Fraser Park Marina, 2011-11-24
Captain: , Margaritaville (355)

Everybody seems to know Craig & Sandy.
Not much I can add to what's already been said, except plan your trip well because it is a small place and as the entrance to the Trent Severn Waterway it keeps quite busy.
The City of Trenton has plans in the works for a 300 slip marina but as of this writing there are no safe places for a crusing boat to stay other than Fraser Park.
Staying at Lock 1 can be questionable regarding security!

Great Small Town Marina, 2011-08-03
Captain: , Kingston, Ontario, Canada (45)

We had the pleasure of staying at Quinte West's Fraser Park Marina in Trenton, Ontario for 4 days. The husband & wife team that run it for the City are Craig & Sandra Carter. They have run the marina for 14 years and it's easy to see why. The marina is small (20 transient slips) but they make you feel like you are part owner of the marina. It is located right at the mouth of the Trent Severn System in the downtown core of Trenton. All supplies both personal and mechanical are within walking distance. They even now have an on site canvas company (husband & wife team) that came from Toronto to settle in a smaller town. They pretty much live on their boat and run the business from their small office on site. The other advantage to getting used to the area there is the fact that the city is one step away from starting a 320 slip new marina just south of the present one on the west bank of the river. From the discussions I have seen in the local papers they should be looking at first dockage by late summer 2012 if all goes well. A great place to visit, good facility, great people and very accessible.

Very friendly stop, 2011-07-26
Captain: , Calgary, Alberta, Canada (854)

Great place to start the Trent-Severn canal. The winds can be a bit chaotic getting in, but the marina staff are very knowledgable and most helpful. The town in not much to look at, but there is a nice liquor store and Tim Horton's within walking distance.

Small but nicee wi-fi., 2011-07-23
Captain: , St. Catharines (498)

The place is small but nice. It's right downtown, and there is a really nice Italian restaurant a block away. The dockmaster is very helpfull. The only thing I didn't like was the wi-fi. We never did get it to work.

Great stop, 2011-07-19
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

Being at the front door of the Trent Severn, you would naturally understand that there is a marina used to folks going that direction. They understand here. It is a small, but clean marina. No water at each power pole, but you can string a hose out to your boat. The Dockmaster has a great attitude and will do anything to help. Restrooms are old, but clean. Our only complaint is the Wi-Fi. You have to jump through hoops to get an account set up, etc. Why can't they just have a hot zone? Make it simple.

Great place with exceptional owners, 2011-07-08
Captain: , Warsaw, Ky (875)

Craig and Sandy were on site when we arrived. Assisted in docking and with getting everything set up. Went out of their way to assist in our needs.

If you are staying in Trenton this is the place to stay.

A must stop, 2011-07-02
Captain: , Mesa AZ (1609)

Craig & Sandy (owners) do it all for the loopers. Metro market and Tomaso's are just the best. Shoppers Drug is across the street. Dingy to Lock 1 for waterway pass & morring pass and paper charts.

MUST STOP PLACES, 2011-07-01
Captain: , Annapolis (208)

There are certain places a boater should stop when they are in the part of Canada or doing The Great Loop. Fraser park Marina, operated by husband and wife team Craig and Sandy, is such a place. They are friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The store is not equipped to make any significant repairs, but the ice cream they sell is great

Nice knowlegeable people, 2010-11-12
Captain: , toronto (449)

My first time there we were greeted by the mayor and his wife who took out lines and welcomed us to Trenton!! The people are very knowlegeable and nice. It is right in the town so all services and facilities are in walking distance.

convenient provisioning and good info on trent severn, 2010-08-20
Captain: , Elizabeth City, NC (241)

Very convenient to town and all shopping. Go to Tomasso's restaurant for a great meal. Sandy and Craig have repeat customers all the time and will hook you up with good information.

Absolutely a Great Location, 2010-07-24
Captain: , Cobourg, Ontario, Cdn (122)

Dockmasters are experienced and make themselves available to assist EVERY boat coming or going. Sturdy docks, clean facilities, next to a park, library and right dowwntown, for easy stroll for groceries or hardware. Full service, gas, deisel and now, free WIFI. Can be busy so recommend calling ahead for reservations.

Freindlly , Helpful and fun, 2010-07-05
Captain: , Mullica Hill, NJ (688)

We can not say enough about the Staff here. Craig is great at helping you dock. Listen to him he knows the currents. Sandy would call a place if she did not have the answer.
There were always other friendly boaters around to talk to, and Craig and Sandy joined in.

Fraser Park Marina, 2010-07-02
Captain: , new bern, NC (110)

Great stop. Friendly helpful staff. Strong current

Good jump-off point for Trent-Severn, 2010-06-30
Captain: , Palm Coast (792)

This is a good municipal marina well placed at mile zero of the TSW. The dockmaster, Craig, will go out of his way to assist all visitors. You can provision and leave with full fuel, water and empty holding tanks.

Closest you can get before reducing your overhead to less than 22 feet required on the TSW.

Frazier Park Marina, 2009-07-24
Captain: , Clear Lake, TX (694)

Good stop with good dock hands. They pack in the boats, wait for late boats and take care of customer needs. Docks are right downtown.

Nice Stop, 2009-07-14

Extremely helpful and friendly dockmaster. Clean restrooms. Close to town. Really stunning setting with park adjacent to slips. A little concerned about security, but no problems noted. Recommended stopover.
