Too bad. They had a terrific bar restaurant in their time

F&D was severely damaged by Sandy--don't know if or when it will reopen.

Being repaired. Stand by for reopening!!

A different kind of date place., 2013-03-31

Great place. Stop in early for a beer and egg sandwich.

Great quick stop, or stay awhile, 2012-07-04
Captain: , New Bern, NC (289)

Early mornings are spectacular. Relax with a cup of coffee and a breakfast roll and watch as the gulls fly overhead. There are views of some of the last bay houses on the small islands south of the station. The staff is really friendly and for the cost of a small breakfast you get a million dollar break from the rush and tumble of the outside (landlocked) world.

Great place to go for lunch or very casual dinnner at outdoor Tiki Bar. Owners and Bar Tenders are very friendly and it is a great time on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon into evening!

F&D has been there forever; although new owners (not sure how long ago). Has always been a good stop for fuel, bait, and snacks when traversing the state channel. Very helpful staff; and pretty good fishing in the area.
