Reviews for Fort Loudon Yacht Club
Great spot must be a reciprocal yacht club member, 2015-10-16
Captain: , Ft Myers, Florida (1663)

Beautiful, protected floating docks, pool, shopping nearby but need a car. Friendly members, diesel $2.04 cheapest on loop.
Clean restroom, great spot.

Very nice private club/docks, 2014-01-14
Captain: , currently Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4407)

As the previous reviews note [both good and bad] this is a private club. The location is quite secluded and protected with well built and maintained covered docks. I was impressed by the heigth of the roofs which exceeds that normally found in this area. In times of high water and increased debris, the entrance to the cove may become hazardous as debris swirls around the bend, but otherwise a very nice location.

Name droppers here, 2013-04-30
Captain: , Louisville (40)

If you feel the need to brag about who you know or what kind of car you drive then you will fit right in. Came for emergency gas ( not in a yacht) and was turned away. Ended up running out of gas and having to call someone to come get me. Many more friendly places on the lake than to bother with the "oh do you know senator so-n-so" here.

A very hospitable club, 2012-08-27
Captain: , jackson, TN (884)

FLYC is very welcoming to members of reciprocal clubs. The manager, Kim Schmier, gave us a tour of their lovely facility, pool and all. The members are very friendly, as is the staff. The heads and showers are excellent. On Sat. mornings you can buy breakfast at the club from 8:30 to 10:30. They charge $18 a day which includes water and electric. Don't miss this great club on your way up the Tenn. river.

Ft. Loudon Yacht Club, 2011-09-29
Captain: , Winter Garden, Fl (2173)

If you are either a member of the Ft. Loudon Yacht Club - or, more than likely, are a transient with reciprocity, it is an outstanding establishment with extrodinary people. Although they will soon raise their prices, it is still worth the trip up the beautiful Tennessee River to experience true Souther Hospitality!
