Reviews for Fishy Fishy Cafe
Docks no longer free if dining, 2016-03-19
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (691)

We came in March 19, 2016, and were told maximum 2 hour docking at all times. " It is enforced". Go to Provision Company, two hundred feet to south. It IS free overnight, if dining. Dock water depth deeper than other place.

Stopped in for Lunch, 2015-06-24
Captain: , Holden Beach, NC (60)

Cruised up from Holden Beach for lunch on a weekday in May. The docks were free. The food was great. The view was wonderful. Definitely a nice stop.

Fishy Fishy Tacos, 2015-03-27
Captain: , Southport, NC (916)

Great food and great atmosphere with the outdoor bar overlooking the bar. Floating docks are limited in the summer but plenty of help around to tie up if you need it.
If you draft 3+ feet, be cautious of backing into the slips at low tide, we typically will not pull in all the way to make sure there is water under the boat on a falling tide.

This is a fantastic restaurant overlooking a beautiful harbor. We have eaten many
Iunches and dinners here, and the food is always outstanding, and the portions are large. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. They have an inside and and outside bar and eating area. There is often live music in the evening, provided by gifted musicians.
They also have nice floating docks for boaters wishing to dine. If you love the water and great food, this is THE place to dine in Southport!

Worth a visit, just for the chocolate ganache., 2014-11-24
Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens (34)

While ferrying a boat from Beaufort to Florida, stopped at Southport City Marina who recommended Fishy-Fishy. Great food and friendly, attentive service. Shrimp and grits was excellent with a nice Chardonnay, and the chocolate Ganache for dessert was the best of the trip.

Great stop, cool town, 2014-01-31
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (624)

Pulled in on a cold rainy day, the town dock was full, and called the restaurant and got permission to dock.

Walked through the town of Southport and found it delightful. Lots of 1880's architecture on quiet overhanging oak lined streets. Some interesting stores downtown and the museum is small but very worthwhile.

Excellent meal at the Fishy Fishy bar: peel and eat shrimp, jalapeno hush puppies, and the best sweet potato fries with some kind of maple syrup dip, yum!

Great outside bar, 2013-12-29
Captain: , Vance,Texas (70)

Music in the outside bar. Great food. Good Grouper Bites.

Captain: , Southport NC (71)

A waterfront restaurant with some docking for small b oats. The food was good but the restaurant was crowded and service was slow.

something fishy@ fishy fishy, 2013-05-09
Captain: , Wilmington, NC (50)

all kidding aside it was a wonderful place. you can take your pick to eat lnside or out on the covered dock. the place also offers dock with decent size slips for costumers to dock their boat while you have a great meal. tonight was even beter with a live band playing mostly beach toons. we will return.

Excellent Food, 2012-11-18
Captain: , Topsail Beach, NC (480)

We docked elsewhere and walked here for dinner. Great food and service. Their salads are wonderful, and you can get a side of seafood or steak for a very reasonable price that are almost a meal in themselves.

Good food, good service, 2012-07-26
Captain: , Murrells Inlet, SC (61)

Arrived at a time when there was a film crew, extras, etc in town. Seated quickly and hydrated immediately. Place was packed but service was rapiid and the food was excellant.

Confirmation of Free Overnight with Meal, 2012-05-09
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2709)

We planned to stop here but had to abort short due to a boat problem. When calling to inquire the previos day, the only one who knew about overnight docking was Evan the manager, but he was very cordial.

Good place to visit, 2012-02-08
Captain: , New Bern, NC (466)

I spent the night here while my daughter was taking sailing lessons from Priority Sailing School. It was a lot quieter than I expected considering the bar. There has never been a problem tieing up if you are going to eat and an over night stay is welcome. The food is outstanding and FishyFishy is the best of the two eateries. You can get electic and water if you ask and there are outlets available.

Fishy Fishy has excellent food and service, 2011-11-13
Captain: , Whitfield Estates, Sarasota, FL (963)

We rounded the end of the docks to the south at dusk and noticed all of the empty slips. We tied up two slips north of the ICW and walked around the bar at the southern tip of the point and down the road to fishy fishy. They have free WI FI but the security code is a littly tricky. It is F!shyF!shy notice that you use an exclamation point and not an i . We left at 5am on our way to Florida.

Kudos to Fishy Fishy , 2011-10-31
Captain: , Clearwater, FL (551)

Since the free town dock was full, we pulled in for the day and night. The manager told us it would be absolutely no problem to stay. We had a nice meal that night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Southport and plan to come back. The docks at Fishy Fishy are adequate but don't offer any power or water or we would have rated them higher.

Nice stop!, 2011-06-12
Captain: , Southport, NC (80)

Nice little restaurant. A little bit classier than the Provision Company up the street. Both are great though!

Fishy Fishy Cafe, 2011-04-14
Captain: , Richmond VA (281)

This isn't a real "marina" but it does have some very nice floating docks for it's customers. I was planing on anchoring out in the basin but felt I would be in the way and a storm was coming. If you need a place to tie up I would recomend Fishy Fishy. They don't provide water or electricity but the food is good and reasonibly priced. It was nice talking to the local fisherman while having a beer overlooking my boat.
