Dockage Was Tight, 2010-10-16

Nice stay with a great manager who was a neat guy. Electrical was broken and we fixed it for him. Fun town, and great people.

Great Town, 2009-07-21
Captain: , Sarasota, FL (68)

Fisheries Museum is an excellent attraction. See the Bluenose II when she is in port, close to food and services

location of marker is wrong, 2009-03-18
Captain: , Halifax (45)

The Museum is located in the town of Lunenburg near the boat ramp. Not across from the Lunenburg Yacht Club as is shown on the map.

Wonderful town but old, wooden fixed docks, 2008-09-09
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

We're pinned against the docks with 25-30 kts out of the S, which allows good sized swells into the anchorage. I would recommend a mooring ball is this is forecast as it's much smoother out on the balls. The town is a great place to walk around and explore. The architecture is wonderful and there are lots of nice shops to explore. All in all this is a wonderful stop.

Tall but convenient, 2008-08-19
Captain: , Cruising (3259)

There is little/no dockage in Lunenburg so this is a good alternative. The wharves are tall, but they are clean and they have good ladders. Power and water are accessible, but check on their location before tying up so you can get close enough - we needed our extra 50' cord and extra hose for water, but everything is working well. Lunenburg is a marvelous town with a lot to see. The mooring field run by others does not have much in the way of heavy moorings so the wharf is a good choice if it's windy.
