The Harbor 'Pirate Ship' operates out of the end of this dock. Do not dock where the Pirate Ship docks or you will be asked to move. Just tie up closer to Thames Street.

Reviews for Fells Point Public Dock

Great place to stop, right in front of the pastry shop. Very protected. Bad part was the harbor police gave us a warning summons and told us to move. There are no docking signs painted on wall. We were clear of the pirate ship docking. Too bad

If you need a quick land break, and you have some long dock lines, try stopping here, but don't stay overnight.

There are some cleats along the bulk head, but there is NO electric.

Every time I've been here (last Summer and recently), I noticed large "no docking" signs. People there (including the President of the Fell's Point Neighborhood Association) told me not to worry about the signs, and sure enough, every time I've been there, I've never had a problem.

There is one time when I think the "no docking" signs apply, and that would be during the annual Fell's Point Festival (usually in October). I've heard that people contact the HarborMaster weeks in advance to reserve bulk head locations at this inlet.

Either way, it's always a place I'll look at whenever I'm at the Inner Harbor.

Once last Summer, i met a hippie who said he had been living on a small sailboat tied up along this bulk head without incident. He said he stayed there from May through July and never had any issues.

Generally, it's a very cool place to just hang out and watch the Pirate Ship go in and out. ...especially in the Evening when the Pirate Ship does the booze cruises! LOL.
