Reviews for Falmouth Town Marina
Everything we needed, 2015-09-03
Captain: , Salem, MA (234)

Took a slip to change crew and restock. This was very convenient and nice harbor to spend the day. Pump out at the very end of the harbor was convenient. Refilled propane at hardware store 1.5 miles away. West marine and grocery store across the street. Also saw a laundry. Had a nice lunch at the flying bridge restaurant next to the marina.

Stop for a few days, 2015-08-30
Captain: , Macatawa Michigan (1104)

We enjoyed our 2 stays here. We stopped on our way to the Vineyard and Nantucket after a trip down Buzzards Bay and through Woods Hole. Then back again on our way to NYC. Easy harbor to negotiate if you do not meet the ferry at the turn of the entrance. We found deeper water than reported. 10' at dock where we were (F dock at end). There is an excellent market -Windfall Market - a block away and a WestMarine next to it. But the real treat for us was Shining Sea Bikeway -10 miles including Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound, beaches and amazing vistas and shade. Good restaurants and nice dock mates. Ferry coming in at night lit up very pretty sight.

A great place to stop and restock. We stayed at a slip at a reasonable price which was a treat. The grocery store and town are all nearby.

Very nice stop, 2014-08-29
Captain: , Lewes, DE (165)

The docks, plastic and aluminum, are still the best I've seen in the north east. They still look like they were just put in. No wifi. The bathrooms could still use some work. The price per foot does not match the amenities. We stop to see a friend play at Liam's in town and access to town is good. The West Marine is so close you can see it from the parking lot. These two things make it a favored stop.

Terrific marina and location, 2013-09-04
Captain: , Lindenhurst, NY (316)

We got here just after Labor Day at which time they are charging $1/ft/night for the slip + $20/night for the 30 amp electric. This marina and its location is terrific. Easily one of the best we've experienced.

Nice Stop for the night, 2013-08-19
Captain: , Port Aransas, Texas (998)

We spent some time attempting to find out somthing about the morrings in the harbot to no successs. The Harbor Master actually could not help with the question and suggested we call two other marinas. Anyway, the staff at the marina and the facilities are nice and close to West Marine and a full grocery store.

Falmouth Town Marina, 2012-07-22
Captain: , Stuart, FL (909)

We have stayed here a number of times. They have all new bulkheads and docks since we were here last. Still $2.75/foot. Good showers and bathrooms. Friendly staff. West Marine right across the street with a nice but a bit expensive grocery store right next store. Bigger Stop and Shop up the road a ways. Falmouth Harbor is a busy harbor with ferries to Martha's Vineyard coming and going and a lot of local traffic". The Flying Bridge restaurant is a good pick.

A Real Cruising Gem, 2012-06-05
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (691)

Falmouth Town Marina is a true gem, at least until June 30, when cost really goes up. Even then, however, at $2.75 per foot, it is less than most other marinas.

Everything you might need is very close. West Marine is across
the street, and a great grocery market is in the same center. There is a laundromat about a five minute walk away. Liquor store is about a seven minute walk.

The marina surroundings are some of the best we have seen. The main shopping area, about a fifteen to twenty minute walk, is absolutely charming. There are many fine restaurants and a great hardware store. The town green is lovely, with beautiful homes all around.

This is a wonderful place to walk along tree shaded streets, and beautiful homes and gardens.

This is near the top of places we have found.

Nice New Docks, Old Dirty Head, 2011-05-31
Captain: , Chicago (30)

They have new floating docks this season that are very nice. Price is reasonable. Heads were filthy. Staff came down to help us tie up and did not know how to do it. Why doesn't anyone train marina staff, it would only take a few hours.

Town is very pleasant with many stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Great for an overnight, 2011-05-16

Did a duck in here to attend a wedding in June 2008. Dockmaster was very helpful. Very cute, very tight approach with boat moored bow to stern down the center of the harbor

Charming Town & Helpful Staff, 2009-07-17
Captain: , Newport, RI (249)

Falmouth Harbor Town Marina is all the way back within the harbor, so it's quite protected. The harbormaster staff are courteous and knowledgeable. As another reviewer noted, they don't do refunds on cancellation. The town itself is right there at the marina docks on Main Street, so everthing is an easy walk or you can catch the local trolley car. Town shops are typicall New England quaint - casual and exotic eateries are all around and priced accordingly. The "must-do" is the Flying Bridge restaurant for harbor view and great eats!. Some fairly big boats within the harbor for easy gawking and lots of people watching.

No refunds, 2009-03-21
Captain: , Jacksonville FL (84)

In April of 2008 we made reservations three weeks in advance of our arrivable. The resrvation was also for pre-season. The Marina required that we pay in advance. Because of a broken arm (on the trip) we were unable to keep our reservation. We called more than two weeks in advance of our planned arrival to cancel and were told NO REFUNDS. That would have been acceptable if we knew that in advance. Not very good marina policy.

Nice, friendly stop, 2008-11-14
Captain: , San Diego (5)

We stopped here in October when the offseason rate was a reasonable $1.70 a foot. The marina staff was friendly and helpful. Close by are a West Marine and a good grocery store, Windfall Market; a few blocks away is a large laundromat. However, we had to walk quite a ways into town for breakfast.

Falmouth is a great hide-away from the maddening crowd. And it is a very protected harbor. We docked here to get away from Tropical Storm Hanna and had a very peacful night. Also, the price is reasonable compared to surrounding facilities. We will be back here if cruising this area again.
