Reviews for Fairhope Yacht Club
Great Looper Stop, 2015-11-15
Captain: , Yorktown, VA (300)

Club accepts reciprocal membership from Yachting Club of America and charges just $10 a night. Reservations not taken, so call first before leaving shipping channel to check if any of the three T-heads large enough to accommodate looper size boats are available. Power and water on or near the T-heads. Clean bath and shower always open for transient use. Beautiful facility, nice people, restaurant and bar open daily, and perfect sunsets from the wrap around porch. We were offered use of a member's car, but took advantage of an Enterprise weekend rental. Fairhope is a great town to visit and is full of restaurants and shopping. Hug the "reds" entering and departing the channel. We entered at mid-tide with 20 knot winds out of the north producing water levels closer to a MLLW. Under these conditions, we saw 5 feet 3 inches at the last set of channel markers coming into Fly Creek.

Very relaxing place, 2014-10-21

Wonderful people who try to include you in everything. Monday night is a pot luck dinner, Tuesday is taco night. Very nice facility but the people make it. Excellant restaurant and bar.

A great respite., 2014-07-05

We were here for 4 nights and our stay was delightful. Beautiful facility with beautiful pool and new, sumptious club house. Everyone we met was exceedingly welcoming and friendly.

Welcome to Paradise., 2013-05-19
Captain: , Canyon Lake, TX (346)

That's what Pat said to us when we docked. Well, we've had time to explore a little and she's right. The people are so friendly that it's like being home. We left our boat here for a few days while we returned home for a college graduation. (Why couldn't she graduate in January?) A lovely area and friendly people. What more could you ask for?

Very hospitable, 2012-06-18
Captain: , New Orleans (66)

After a horrendus sail we were forced to seek shelter somewhere, and FYC was the closest place we could find. A call an hour or so before arrival provided us with a 60' slip, power, and volonteer help upon arrival. Before asking us about payment, or arrangements the manager pointed us to the bar, the resturaunt, and invited us to use the showers and pool.

This are hasn't been on my cruising list in the past, but it will be again.

Nicest people in North Amaerica, 2012-01-20
Captain: , Chattanooga (220)

I can't imagine a nicer Yacht Club with nicer people. They treated me better than my family does! Beautiful clubhouse and grounds. WOW.

Great Stay for Turkey Day, 2011-11-26
Captain: , Murfreesboro, TN (360)

We enjoyed our stay at Thanksgiving. A short dinghy ride to a restaurant or eat at the club. Good bar and very nice people. Nice neighboors and great sunsets. Beautiful new clubhouse. One block to the hwy to town.

The Fairhope Yacht Club is a wonderful place to chill out after you finish your trip down the Tenn-Tom. $10 a night including electric and a beautiful new facility. Must be a yacht club member.
