Reviews for Fairhope Municipal Pier
great location , 2016-11-09

Our first time to Fairhope and it won't be our last. Lovely town with restaurants, boutiques, and a variety of other small shops. We used our bikes and rode all over town. We have a 4' draft and entered on mid-tide which was enough to get past one slightly shallow spot (favor south poles). The marina is very accommodating and Bill will go out of his way to see that you have everything you need and they are in the process of installing 50 amp service. Contact Bill 251 421-8012 the dock master for reservations. Our 45' carver voyager was charged $40/night. We ate at Shux on the Pier" twice- the oysters and shrimp were excellent and a good selection of draft beer! We will return.

Shux on the Pier marina and restaurant , 2016-06-27

To contact the marina you will need to contact Shux on the Pier as they manage the facility. The number on the web is 251-421-4554 (5/2016). They were able to accommodate our 48 Tollycraft and waves fromt the overnight storm were significantly dampened by the South breakwater.

We found the owners and staff of Shux on the pier to be very accomodating and eager to earn our business. Shux on the Pier has good food and specialize in Oysters, however, the hamburgers were excellent. They also offer a shuttle through town to their more upscale resturant which was good as well. Fairhope is a quiet town and very clean. The people are easy going and you can walk to town easily. There is a hardware store, many restaurants, clothing shops, and some unique boutiques. Fairhope Yacht Club is about a mile north of the pier and is a GYA member. In general Mobile Bay is shallow so pay attention to the markers. The good news is the bottom is soft making a slight grounding easy to recover from.

Fairhope Municipal Marina, 2008-06-18

The marina is a fairly small enclosure with slips around three sides. The opening is on the north and pretty tight. The dock is the breakwater on the south and west. Some waves can enter from the north and east and wind blows over the dock, especially from the west. The finger piers are very short. It is part of a beautiful, friendly southern town.
