Reviews for Fair Haven Yacht Works
Good, clean facility, 2015-10-02
Captain: , Rockland,ME (312)

This is a working yard so don't be looking for resort amenities. Facilities are in excellent repair, showers are basic but clean and plenty of hot water. We ducked in here to hide from Juaquin and stayed for 5 days. Both floating and fixed docks in great condition. Aproach is 5' at low.We did plow a little mud briefly approaching dock(-.5' tide). Yard personel are professional and went the extra mile to ensure we were tied for any eventualities. There is a ships store here as well but was closed during our stay as the owner was taking a few days off and the crew was busy pulling boats. There is 2 grocery stores and a well stocked hardware store on the main street. Red Bank is about a 2 mile walk along a sidewalked street. Once in town there way too many dining establishments to mention. For those that do not want the walk there are several dining opportunities within 1/4 mile.

Great Location to see Red Bank NJ, 2014-08-19

Really nice super clean and friendly marina. The owner and his wife helped us into our slip, really spent time making sure all lines were good. Nice little town/shops right up from marina, or nice dingy ride into Red Bank with plenty of restaurants and shops, very pretty area around there as well with multi million dollar homes.
Addition as of 8/15/14 post Sandy, FHYW is 100%, as before the most friendly helpful, clean marina we have been to, also very well priced at $2.00 per ft.

Worth a Visit., 2014-05-24

This marina - yard is in a great location. Easy access to Red Bank, good protection and nice scenery. It's rare to find a good working yard and marina together in one place. The folks who own/run Fair Haven Yacht Works seem to know how to do both! The facilities are spotless and their friendly staff are very helpful. Several nice restaurants and a grocery store are within walking distance. Red Bank, a mile to the west is not to be missed, there is a public dinghy dock at the park, also the train station in Red Bank provides access to visit New York City.
It's well worth the hour it took us to reach the marina from Atlantic Highlands, we'll return when we head south in the fall.

Clean and Safe, Friendly Staff, 2013-03-20

Fair Haven Yacht Works is a clean, very well cared for and safe marina. The entire staff is extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help and advice. The owner is on-site most of the times and always a great source of advice. Mechanics are on-site and able to perform a broad spectrum of repairs and maintenance. No fuel services. There is a very informal and nice coffee shop just a few steps up the street. Several sandwich shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Likewise an ACME grocery store and a hardware store.

great personal attention, owner onsite, and very clean, 2011-06-21

A well-cared for marina with owner on site. Quiet and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Onsite mechanics. Mom and pop deli/restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store and hardware shop. Short drive to Red Bank, 2 miles.
