Reviews for Essex Yacht Club
Beautiful Club to visit Essex, 2016-07-12
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

I aggree with what has been said positive about this club. Welcoming and typical classic Yacht Club New England. Good moorings and Herrshoff launches back and forth from moorings. Essex reminds me of Oxford on the Chesapeake. Museum is worth visit and the Griswald is a must to eat one meal in just for the history.

Great hospitality, 2016-06-27
Captain: , Hampton, Va (210)

Spent two nights in Essex at the YC on a mooring ball. The staff especially Brian were very pleasant and welcoming. Yacht club reciprocity was accepted. Great town to visit. Wifi did not cover mooring field. Would have loved a laundry! Still 5 stars

First rate everything, 2015-06-25
Captain: , Duluth, mn (120)

We stayed four nights here on a mooring and found the town, yacht club facility, launch service all to be first rate with beautiful new buildings. Only drawback was a lack of laundry machine. For that, you need to move to Brewers.

THE Place For a Visiting Yacht Club Member to Moor in Essex, 2013-08-31
Captain: , Bridgeport, CT (548)

They have a great bar, sitting rooms, showers and toilets (all the things we crave after some time at sea)...and they take care of the younger sailors as if they were their own. My wife and I were impressed on how well they treated our granddaughters. In 2013, some facilities were limited or closed as part of a remodeling effort...expect that it will be better than ever next year.

Great stop, 2011-07-05

Essex YC is a very nice club with restaurant and bar.

Well run club with excellect launch service and staff. Easy walk into town. Dinner at Griswold Inn, very nice. We like Essex, great views from the mooring field.
