Reviews for Emerald Harbor Marine
Avoid At All Costs, 2015-03-25
Captain: , Seattle (138)

They did a lot of work on my boat a few years ago. Most of the work was OK, but they were uncompromising in their unwillingness to fix what was not done right. Their attitude was "my way or the highway." I don't know how anyone could possibly say "they stand behind what they do" as Kev has done. I think Lumpydavy's experience is far more representative of their attitude. There are a lot of others in Seattle who can do your your work. Why put up with Emerald Harbors's attitude?

bad windlass installation, 2014-01-28
Captain: , Jasper, OR (20)

We bought a new Maxwell windlass from Emerald and had them install it just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. The windlass was mis-installed (they did not use the template when they did the deck cut-oiut) but the worst part was first that they blamed our rode rather than re-checking the installation. They would not help us further so we took our boat to the fine folks at Anacortes Rigging who very quickly saw the bad installation. Unfortunately we had already paid Emerald for their work and they continued to ignore us regarding our extra costs associated with the bad install. Hard to believe they are the Maxwell dealer in Seattle. We would not reccomend this company to anyone for any type of service.

Emerald Harbor Marine - A Company you can Trust, 2008-01-27
Captain: , Anacortes (4)

I have been a client of Emerald Harbor Marine for more than 4 years, first with our Bayliner 4788 and no with our Bayliner 5788. They are knowledgeable of course, but in addition they have character. No one is perfect, things happen, but whenever anything has gone awry with anything they have done, it gets fixed immediately and without any discussion (or cost). In short, they stand behind what thye do. They also give excellent counsel, including telling me when NOT to buy something. Even though my boat is now kept in Anacortes, it is worth the fuel cost (or trip charge) to have them do major work on our boat because I know it will be right. After going through other service outfits over the years, they are a refreshing change. Thanks Larry, Dan, Brian, Lyn and all the rest.

They Outfitted My Boat, 2007-10-31
Captain: , Seattle, WA (272)

EHM commissioned my new 43' catamaran in the winter of 2003/2004, including wiring it for 110 VAC, installing radio, radar, GPS, and chart plotter. Their work was excellent. Their labor rate is on par with other boat yards even though their workers are exceptionally talented, especially their cabinet maker. A year later they installed a generator, air conditioning, and water maker, again with nearly flawless workmanship.
