Reviews for Edisto Island Marina
Pleasant stay, 2016-05-01
Captain: , Dinner Key (50)

I .We found this friendly attractive marina along our trip north. The dockhands were very helpful and courteous. We only stayed one night, next time we will stay a couple of days and check out the area.

The Marina at Edisto Beach, 2015-07-19
Captain: , Edisto island (10)

The marina has changed hands and the new phone # is 843-631-5055. They carry diesel and non-ethanol gas. They are on the Internet at themarinaeb.com. The ships store, fuel docks and facilities are now in good condition. Most importantly they are helpful, courteous and open at advertised hours. They welcome you to tie up while you dine at "Pressleys" a wonderful restaurant. They can be reached on channel 16 and 68. Don't let negative reviews of the old ownership keep you from enjoying a new experience. Look up the reviews from charleston fishing.com.

Another Disappointment, 2015-03-18
Captain: , Savannah, GA (320)

When we could not anchor in the creek we radioed the marina for dockage. No answer. We looked them up on Active Captain and called the phone number provided and got a recording that referred us to their web site. Went on the web site to make sure they were open on Monday, 3/16. The web site indicated they were open from 8am to 5pm. This was about 2:30pm. Called back and left a message with our phone number. No call back. This could be a great area for boaters to spend a few days but we will not attempt again.

Just a quick stop over, 2014-09-15
Captain: , Charleston SC (10)

Just stopped to get fuel and we had lunch in the Restruant upstairs. Restrooms need work, no one help with our lines. We had to pump our own fuel. Current very strong

Only Marina in the Area, 2014-03-25
Captain: , Deltaville, VA (602)

Edisto Island Marina has tons of potential but very poor execution. Three people "working" in the marina office but only one came out to catch lines even though it was very windy with a strong current when I arrived. The dockhand tied off my bow line and said "come to the office when you get hooked up".
Bathrooms are shabby with no soap, towels, and the light bulb in the shower was missing. When I brought these deficiencies to the attention of the marina manager, he told me the restrooms belonged to the restaurant and I sould tell them.
Gas, diesel, water, electricity available.
No courtesy car, laundry, Cable TV or WIFI.
Stop only if you can't find a better option.

Sad; run down marina, 2013-10-05
Captain: , Venice (208)

Stayed here this week. They raised the rate to $1.80; the docks are rickity and literally coated with bird droppings; the security gate is not being used and all the trash recepticles' are full and overflowing. Is it any wonder the slips are 75% vacant.

A good stop when you need it, 2013-03-13
Captain: , Charleston, SC (284)

Approach is tight, stay to the beach. Facilities are basic, but sufficient and functional . . . some repairs are needed. Current here, like everywhere in this area, is strong. Did not go to restaurant or bar. Staff was extremely cordial and accommodating.

Nothing Fancy, a Basic Stop, 2012-11-24
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (884)

Previous reviews mention current; quite rightly. Entrance to Big Bay Creek is narrow..stay about 50 yards off the beach coming in. We saw about 9' close to low near the point, otherwise deeper. Transients are sometimes put on the fuel dock, with very bright lighting overhead. Bathrooms were somewhat run down and not vey clean when we stopped in November. We got the impression they serve mostly sport fisherman and maybe not so many ICW cruisers. November is off-season at this marina. I think they are closed Mon. & Tuesday in winter schedule. Check before travelling down to this marina.

Nice stop but basic, 2012-11-09
Captain: , little river (269)

Came in on 10-17-12. Beautiful area, marina is basic. Bathrooms were in poor condition and open to the public. The entrance to the river is thin, saw 8 feet, favor the south side. Personel were friendly but no special service.

Convenient off the ICW, 2012-05-08
Captain: , Solomons, MD (882)

It was kind of a basic marina run by nice people. We went there to fill up on water and to get a good nights sleep. That is exactly what we got -- no more, no less. Although 5 miles off the ICW, it was the only marina we could find in the area. Our charts were very wrong in the approacch to teh marina. Call before approaching and follow local advice, not the charts. At 1.50/ft, the proce was right too!

This would be a 5 star for us if they'd give a bit of attention to the bathrooms, 2011-01-02
Captain: , Wilson, NY (432)

Nice people. We were charged $1.50/ft 1/1/11. Decent little store, we didn't use the restaurant. Bathrooms needed some minor repair and cleaning.

Nice stop, 2009-10-16
Captain: , Worton (445)

About five miles off the intercoastal. Nice quiet area, bathrooms were filthy, otherwise the place was great. Lots of current.

Nice people, not much to do, 2009-04-14
Captain: , Stuart, FL (426)

Very nice people at the marina. They lent us the car to go to lunch. Not much to do on the Island. Some mediocre restaurants and bars near the marina (1/2 mile), but all other shopping is 3 mile walk. Beach near the Marina is so-so.

Edisto Island Marina, 2007-07-09
Captain: , Edisto Beach, SC (2)

Excellent hospitality, but limited transient space. No mechanical repairs, but gas and dielel and restaurant. Staqff will drive you or let you use their car to go to the grocery store. Beautiful family style beach. very quiet in the fall and winter
