Reviews for Eau Gallie Yacht Club
A Favorite Stop, 2017-05-22
Captain: , Bristol, RI (350)

We visited Eau Gallie Yacht Club for the second time. Since we arrived around noon on a Sunday, we were invited the their ultimate Sunday Brunch which was well worth attending. This resort like Yacht Club is a favorite with its pool, tennis courts, fitness center, restaurant and pool side restaurant. THe Harbor and dock masters were accommodating and knowledgeable. We noted that the staff was consistent from years past which shows, we feel, a well run establishment. The restrooms and showers were extremely clean. The staff was well dressed and professional. As we walked the grounds, we were greeted with hellos and can we help you.
The grocery store is a simple walk. There is a park across the street with many signs to read about the area. It is a great place to run and walk with its many trails.
WE hope to return in the fall.

Nice stop, nice club, 2017-04-30

Great to see Dockmaster Kenny again at this supreme facility!
Had a nice dinner and restful sleep at this quiet, neat club.

No Longer Available to the Natonal Association of Yacht Clubs Members, 2015-11-29
Captain: , Annapolis (434)

We were told when we called for a reservation that Florida Council of Yacht Club members were unhappy with outsiders using their clubs to the detriemnt of its members. Consequently no more non-FCYC members.

Beautiful facilities with pool, restaurant., 2015-06-27
Captain: , Onset, MA (90)

Transients only accepted as a member of a guest (which we were) or another yacht club. Excellent food and drinks. Need a car to get anywhere.

Great stop on our way north, 2015-03-12
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (1541)

We were here for one night as we headed north using our FCYC reciprocity. Stayed on the end of the southernmost T-dock in 10' of water. Met on the dock by the dockmaster who was very helpful getting us tied in and plugged in. Active club, lots of folks in the pool, in the casual outdoor restaurant and on the tennis courts. Very friendly members. Rode our bicycles to Publix, less than half a mile away, to provision.

outstanding, 2014-07-19

Easy access, great facility, 2013-10-24
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Was here night of 11-3-12. Docks all redone and very nice, super pool and casual eating area. Outstanding food in dining room. Tennis & golf available, all shopping close. First class facility, dockmaster Carl very cordial and helpful. I have been a member here for 25 years, not in area very often so I am transient.

Was here night of 10-23-13 club and facilities are as good as it gets. New dockmaster Ken was very cordial and helpful. Could not ask for more from staff or facilities.

Nice Place, 2013-08-31
Captain: , Abilene, TX (210)

Private club, requries recipical membership. Didn't need any assistance docking but wasn't offered any even after calling on VHF & phone, just tied up to a Tee head. Food was good in club and the pool is very nice.

Favorite Location of Great Loop!, 2013-03-11
Captain: , St. Ignace, Michigan (236)

EGYC is located across from Dragon Point, where the Banana River joins the Indian River. This makes for a rich marine environ, and we saw dophins virtually every day, sometimes even in the marina fairways!
The dockmaster and other staff are wonderful, the excerise facilities are some of the very best and it was just one of the nicest places to stay we have found anywhere. Must be a member of a reciprocating club, call ahead...

Refused reciprocity because we were at anchor, 2012-12-31
Captain: , Washington, DC (435)

We anchored off the Eau Gallie Yacht Club and dingied to their dock. As members of the Capital Yacht Club (Washington, DC) we expected the same courtesy we extend to members of other clubs (in deed, any cruisers who arrive by boat). We were told that we were welcome to come in to their dock but as "anchor out cruisers" we weren't welcome. We went back to our boat as we didn't want to anywhere we weren't welcome but it was the first time it's happened in 38,000 miles of cruising. Needless to say, we won't be back (at their dock's or otherwise). Much of being a yacht club is welcoming other sailors... the fact that we are self sufficient and prefer our anchor to a dock shouldn't diminish us in their eyes. The fact that it did diminished them in ours....

Great Stop, but....., 2012-12-24
Captain: , Louisville (301)

We called ahead to ask if they honored YCOA club reciprocity and were pleased to hear from the office staff that they did so. Carl was friendly and efficient in tying us up. We were surprised to learn that they DO NOT honor YCOA membership, and he asked for $2.00/ft per night. Following a "discussion", he relented and charged $1.50. This marina is substantially exposed to the west, so beware if westerly winds/weather is predicted. Beautiful facilities and close to Publix.....

Very Nice Club, 2012-11-20
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (555)

We stopped here on 11/18 and earlier in the summer. Carl is now the Dockmaster and John has retired. The new docks are finished. Publix and many other stores are within walking distance. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great stop!

First rate club, 2012-11-08
Captain: , Poughkeepsie, NY (6077)

We stopped by on the way south and could not have been more impressed. The club house has a large dining area and wood paneled bar, very impressive. The meal we had was outstanding, highly recommended.

There's a place to walk your dog, showers and head. We will certainly return here again on our way north in the spring.
