Reviews for East Cowes Marina
Nice quiet location, 2014-09-17
Captain: , Torquay UK (126)

Spent a couple weeks here during Cowes Week. Very calm, but a pain getting the chain ferry to Cowes all the time. Great showers etc., but a walk to any decent shop. (massive Waitrose) Brilliant internet wi-fi. All very friendly. Nice. Would definitely return if the buzz of Cowes is not high priority.

Sheltered Freindly Marina, 2014-04-27
Captain: , Eastney Cruising Association (70)

East Cowes is on the Port Side a little up river from Cowes Yacht Haven and Shephards, much calmer than the 'swell' to be found at the other two.

Much safer for young ones in this enviroment, with modern clean showers and the Lifeboat Inn (next door) serve's good pub food quickly even when its busy.

The marina staff are friendly, helpful and very accomadating.

You can reach Cowes Town Centre within a 10 minute walk via the chain ferry and Waitrose can be found nearby the ferry on the East side.

You can get a water taxis from the marina to access Cowes (if you don't want to walk) or The Folly Inn further up river.

Well sheltered, 2013-07-04
Captain: , Liverpool (325)

Well sheltered location and away from the town centre which may be a good bad thing depending on you!

A bit noisey, 2011-03-03
Captain: , Swansea U.K. (140)

This can be a bit noisy through the night with the non stop boat building in the sheds across the river.
Also an alternative to the chain ferry, you can call a water taxi on the VHF

Pleasant marina, 2010-10-03
Captain: , Gosport (294)

This is a more pleasant location than the West Cowes marinas as it is more sheltered but it is away from the bright lights of West Cowes. West Cowes is a walk and free ferry ride away or a water taxi ride away so it is reasonably accessible. On site pub does food and is OK.

East Cowes Marina - much to commend it., 2010-08-17
Captain: , UK South Coast (534)

Much more sheltered than the West Cowes Marinas. Fairly recent build so everything's got a tidy new feel to it. A bit more limited in terms of pubs than the West side of the river but still possible to get a decent meal. (Or just cross on the chain ferry.)
