Reviews for Duxbury Town Pier
Moorings for deep draft boats, 2015-08-29
Captain: , Lewes, DE (424)

I called the Harbormaster well before my visit to reserve a mooring and the gentleman I spoke with told me tey were dredging this winter but we would be in the mud with a 5' draft on the close in moorings. So he offered me a mooring out in the Bay. The town has 3 moorings just off the channel in 15-20' of water so we were on one of them. It was over a mile into the town dock but they didn't charge us for the mooring. I worried a bit about us in the fog with someone missing the mark and hitting us but it was not a problem.

always enjoy the shallow draft areas - pull up my centerboard and skim the ins and outs of this area
