Okay food and okay night life. They have live bands on the weekends in season. It is a local hang-out

Outdoor tiki bar. Good food and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and boaters boaters boaters! About as good as it gets.

Been there alot for fuel and food. Come down from DC on my little 175 Glastron. Easy to get to in and out.

A Pleasant Lunch, 2013-11-01
Captain: , Pasadena, MD (24)

I ate here the weekend of 12/13 October when I helped a buddy move his boat to associated Colonial Beach Yacht Center. It is an informal place with a quiet ambiance, although it is smallish and tables are rather close together. I got the impression that it does good business, although I am unsure how crowded it would be like at suppertime. It was about half full at 1 PM. I had a salad that was very good -- absolutely fresh ingredients, not too much or too little dressing. The server was very pleasant, as was the rest of the staff. I liked the atmosphere. Despite the fact they seemed short staffed that day, service was speedier than I expected, although it was far from fast. As is typical of dockside restaurants, prices were a little high for the the type of restaurant it is and the menu it serves, but that is the price for convenience. Overall, it was a good lunch and a pleasant time.

Enjoyable Experience, 2013-10-19

My guests and I ate for the first time at the pub. Two had crab cakes, another the spinach salad and I had the bbq chicken sandwich (called the "Canadian Mountie" due to the Canadian bacon on the sandwich). Everyone enjoyed their meals very much. While the prices are a skosh on the high side, it is all tempered with the knowledge that this is a resort-style town and this is to be expected. It appeared the pub was a bit short on help, but our server was still very courteous. This is definitely worth the food to make a visit here, and meet the friendly folks. A strong 3-stars.

Mediocre food, 2013-08-25

The restaurant is a local hangout. There are bands playing every weekend, and some are pretty good. But the food is mediocre.

Great Food, 2013-03-05

Ate here on the evening of 25 Nov 2011. Food was great!! Third time we have been here and it was great every time. Nice people. Real local atmosphere and does not look like much from outside but it is great. Crab soup was wondeful. Will stop at Colonial Beach again just to eat here. Ate here again during an overnight stop was just as good as before. Had one of the bset Ribeye steaks I have ever had in my life. Good service nice people.

Nice old restaurant with a friendly staff. (Monday night is dollar hamburger night) and they close at 9pm. Was disappointed they were closed the night of July 3rd (Tuesday) as they are the closest restaurant for two miles from CBYC. Food was good and service was decent. Looking forward to visiting from time to time on the Potomac.

ate there once And we went back !, 2012-09-03
