Reviews for Dillon's Creek Marina
Great Place!!, 2017-07-08

Visited Dillons Creek this past weekend. 5/27/2017. Niiiiiice marina! Lots of families there. Great facilities. Pool! Docks are in great shape. Immaculate bathrooms and showers. Looking for a new home for next season. Looks like this is the place.

My family and I stayed overnight on July 2nd 2017. What a great experience! We met so many nice people. Brian is a fantastic host and I talked to him for about an hour throughout the stay about boats and marina operations. He truly has a passion for the industry. Most environmentally friendly marina I ever knew existed in New Jersey. The place is immaculately kept. Rest rooms and showers are spotless. Nice ships store on site and ice and drinks available. The people we met were telling me about the parties and events the marina holds. Another boater staying the week slipped next to me told me he came from the Hudson River to stay and will be a resident here next year. Had a problem with his boat and Dillions fixed it quickly. We will be back this year to stay again and will have Dillon%u2019s Creek as our residence next season for sure!! HIGHLY recommend this marina to anyone looking for that %u201CBoating Experience%u201D that they are lacking where they currently are.

Best Marina in the area, 2016-06-01

Brian fixed problems that no one else could figure out... He is a boater and nice guy... The Marina facilities are clean and beautiful... There is no better service than Dillan's Creek... Brian, the owner, will not do any unneeded work. He treats every boat like his own, and has the uptmost integrity... Dillan's Creek is the go to place for hardest to solve mechanical issues...

Some folks seem to like a good story. And anyone that buys a 30 year old boat that has not sailed in years will have problems. We even told them that she needed a shake down before and ocean sail.Dillons Creek Marina did not sell this boat.I did come in on a Sunday and spent 4 hour helping them where I did find a battery ground wire not hooked up.Also found no working bilge pump his survey did not find. This crew showed up hours before departure on a trip Rhode Island with no shake down or chance to check the fuel filters after fueling. As for the repaires we replaced the head with brand new one no one rebuilds a 30 year old head.If you switch from holding tank to overboard with out opening the seacock the pressure will start a leak. Please note the Sunday work was on my day off and they were not charged. Some people should not hit send after they type. And no good deed goes without pain I will think twice before I help some one again that does not have regard for safety of there boat and crew.Brian

Its a great place to visit but, god forbid you need any work done!, 2016-05-10

Dillon's Creek Marina is a really lovely, well kept Marina.
The boatyard service is horrible! I bought a one owner, 30 year old boat there that had spent 26 years in this marina. The marina owner told me that the previous owner was "not the kind of guy that did work on his own boat." this implied that all the work on this boat was done here for 26 years. I had the yard do some work for me to prepare for the delivery home. I had spent time talking with the Marina Manager/owner. He talked a really good game about how he prided himself on service and reputation.
During the survey some things were brought to light, I asked that some of the items be addressed, by this yard, before I finalize the deal.
One was to rebuild the toilet. They ripped out the $450 raritan household sized toilet and replaced it with a cheap $150 Jabsco compact size and the waste hose was left leaking!
also to adjust the rudder stop because it was only catching by about an 1/8 of an inch, they added a longer piece of rubber hose.
another was to make the engine ready for the journey and pump out all the old diesel and replace with new. They did not clean out the water separator that had all kinds of floaty things in it. Did not replace the belt which obviously it need. All this to the tune of around $1200 and he needed payment before I left!! No wonder!
They admitted installing the new wind/speed/depth instruments. they routed all the cables right down the middle of the bilge. they didn't even bother to add a junction box at the bottom of the mast They didn't bother to connect the wind to the speed and depth. they left the Backbone Tees without terminators! No wonder the instruments were giving crazy readouts!
They admitted installing all new batteries and a charger. Well the refrigeration and bilge pump was hooked up the start battery. the reason for a separate start battery was to isolate it! The charger was not even charging the house bank. The ground was connected wrong. obviously they test nothing after the do a "repair" or an installation.
For some unknown reason they disconnected the water heater and bypassed the plumbing on the engine and the fresh water system. I left numerous messages asking why things were done the way they were, no return calls. I left messages with live people, not voicemail. And she'd say, "I don't know he hasn't returned your call yet..."
These guys are the highest level of corner cutters! Its a great place to visit but, god forbid you need any work done!

Stayed overnight after spending the day at Tice shoal. I've been to a few nice marinas on the Chesapeake and Dillon's even surpasses them. Very clean showers/bathrooms and friendly dock mates. Definitely will stay here again on any trip up to Toms River.

9/7/2013. After our harsh treatment at Nelson's (stay away from there); this place awesome. Brian the owner came by warmly greeted us (apologized for Mr. Nelson), and offered us his hospitality. The neighbors are friendly and inviting, the staff is awesome and we can't say enough how nice it is here.
The crew is awesome, and everything is spic and span. Very smooth operation. If I didn't base out of Annapolis, I would love to be here on permamently.
