Reviews for Deseronto Yacht Club

Seems to me this place is all but abandoned. We couldn't raise anyone on the radio, we couldn't find anyplace to tie up because the two boats that were there had all the space taken.

Not as limited as former reviewer states, 2012-07-01
Captain: , Bainbridge Island, WA (343)

The space by the clubhouse, a boatlaunch with tie-up space on both sides of the launch, is definitely limited, with a bit over 4' at the outer ends. About 30' in, it goes to to 2-3 feet.

However, they have a separate pier around the back of the spit that can accomodate a 5' draft boat (at least). They also have a mooring.

That said, services are limited here, and they charge a flat $40 fee, regardless of boat size. There are restrooms, and a canteen (I suspect only on weekends) at the clubhouse.

Members are very friendly and helpful, and stores are only a few blocks away. If you're looking for a place to duck into when the water chops up badly in the prevailing winds, it works. I was glad for the respite.

The listing in one of the guidebooks about a 190' pier with 9' depth is definitely a figment of someone's imagination.

Visited this facility by car yesterday. Very small and room for only 2 to 3 small boats. The marina formerly in the town is now closed and overgrown with weeds and underbrush.
