Reviews for Dent Island Resort
Wonderful spot, 2016-06-06

We have come to Dent Island twice in the last two years, on the way north and have really enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful, peaceful setting that the lodge has improved upon with tasteful buildings and plantings. The food is great, though we've only tried lunch. Nice to drink a pint on the deck watching hummingbirds jostle for position. The jet boat ride into the rapids are not to be missed. If you get there on a spring tide, take the ride, you may be terrified but you won't regret it.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff., 2015-07-10

Great place to fish or relax. Excellent food.

caters to the big boats but little boats welcome, 2013-08-20

This is a resort for the rich and famous. Or at least rich. Althought the place is small, they pack some very large boats into it. This is also some of the highest dockage fees you will pay in the Desolation Sound area.

That said, if you are feeling like a special night or two, this is the place. You are greeted by dock hands who are courteous, incredibly helpful, and likeable. Everywhere you go, the staff is great. The cost to eat starts at $99 and goes up. There are only two showers, but you get full use of the resort, including jacuzzi, sauna, and great decks overlooking the rapids.

The only knock on the place is that it is small. Very upscale and beautifully maintained, but small. There is nothing to do and nowhere to go, so you better like your boat or your friends or your book. Or all three.

Nicest spot in BC, 2011-09-23
Captain: , Vancouver, BC (40)

The managers, Justin and Trish, are very accomodating and have great staff. Great facilities, beautiful docks, great restaurant. Interesting location with reversing tidal rapids you can watch from your vessel at the dock. Tip - make a dinner reservation at the tapas bar. Worth every penny! Good place to have guests fly in and out on Kenmore Air.

Very nice, but really upscale , 2011-07-01

This is an upscale resort. EXPENSIVE but worth the cost. Docks are all concrete and wide. 30,50 & 100 amp power and water on the docks.

Yes it's a stopping place for the big guys

Dinner at the lodge is expensive

Docks are right beside little dent rapids so it fun to watch the rapids or kayak at slack in the rapids

Your 100 footer is welcome here!, 2010-12-24

A very nice facility but $75 per crab dinner is a bit much. It lacked the friendly atmosphere that we have experienced in that area. They cater to Weyerhauser employees there on bonus trips.

Facilties so-so but the lake is great, 2009-12-10
Captain: , Nanoose Bay, BC (50)

Stopped for 2 days in Aug 09. The docks are congested and somewhat exposed, there was no water or fuel. The store is small but ok. The best part was hiking into Eagle Lake, which at first looks swampy, but if you take one of the barely-usable rowboats and paddle out to the float, the swimming is great and nothing beats having half a dozen bald eagles swooping in and out while you're floating around on your back. This is a cool place. Only one shower, but there is a washer/dryer.
